I've got my first cb product going out and I was wondering if there are any tips for getting the gravity up... well besides the usual "make good product" etc.. How do you get past the catch 22 You can't get affiliates without good gravity score You can't get good gravity score without affiliates... So what can you do to jumpstart the process. I did the aff page with banners, auto-responder email, keywords etc.... Also the commission is the max cb allows 75%. But are there any 'tricks of the trade' out there for boosting gravity? Any advice is much appreciated... Thanks |

Do some kind of promotion like have a contest or a giveaway or something like that. Something to incent people to give your product a shot. You should also be trying to connect with affiliates outside the marketplace - like in the forum for JVs.

You have to put in work and try to attract affiliates. One small thing you can do is go to affiliatefirst and pay them their $59 or so to submit your affiliate program to 50 online directories. Or find the top ones and do it yourself. I have found that creating a clickbank site and giving affiliates plenty of tools and the max 75% commission does not guarantee anything. You have to work to get your affiliates. Mike |

Hi Mike... thanks very much... I will take the advice. Much appreciated. Andrew... I agree with you, but unless the sales are made by MANY affiliates, it's not worth very much. For example: If I make let's say 100 sales through my account (via ppc or my promo etc) I only get 1 (that's ONE) gravity point... While a product that makes just 25 sales through different affiliates gets 25 gravity points. I make FOUR times more sales, but the other product has 25 times more gravity... That's a BIG difference. With my 1 point gravity I won't attract affiliates, while the other product that sells a lot less but has 25 points gravity will keep attracting affiliates much, much better. But I can't attract affiliates without good gravity. To get good gravity I must have lots of affiliates. And so the vicious circle continues |

Try finding successful sellers in a niche close to but not the exact same as yours. Tell them you'll make them ads or do free content creation for them or something if they'll send an email blast about your product to their list (with their affiliate link of course, so they still earn money). Lots of times just getting your link to people will start bringing in affiliates. Also try the jv section here |

If it's a IM related product and if you have a list, tell them that they can save 75% of the price by buying through their own hoplink. If 100 list members buy this way, you will get a gravity of 100 and a great exposure in the Clickbank marketplace.. ![]() Marc |

hi elcabron, that's nice that you've got your product out there. as you told mike, i seriously agree with you. don't do the job alone as it may not fetch you anticipated results. i'll advice you get some very valuable reports, build a list with it promote your product in it and encourage your subscribers to promote your clickbank product. Building a huge list i think should be the first thing. it shoots out your sales margin in no time if your product is really good. Also, try JV with the Big guys "Gurus" and offer them more for JV ing with you. Don't feel reluctant to even give them your product free to examine. well you can watch out for the real ettiquets of Joint Venturing. I'll bring it onborad soon. I'm sure you'll thank me for it when you see it wish you great success with your product |

What if I have two Clickbank accounts and use one as an affiliate of the other, then buy a bunch of copies of my own product? I mean I will be out the clickbank fees, but the gravity would go up wouldnt it? Just asking, dont know for sure...Also there is the whole waiting for your check thing, so it would take a little bit of capital up front if your product is expensive.

Just pay clickbank to advertise your product on their page. You can then use that as a tool to bring in new affiliates, without having high gravity. You can also advertise here on WF your product, and recruit affiliates here, but be prepared to offer bonuses, stats, and good conversions. AS for purchasing your own product to raise that- yeh, it can become costly- but if you have absolutely no patience...then you may resort to doing it. |

I've been leaning towards the list idea that was mentioned earlier. I'd keep the product out of the CB marketplace and do an internal launch to my list, then afterwards I'd put it into the marketplace. if you got 100 sales from your list (all using their own hoplinks), it seems you'd have a pretty good gravity score by the time it showed up in the cb marketplace. | |

I think a good way is to give out higher commissions first. That way affiliates will be attract to promoting your product, and that should giv your product better gravity.

1)Give 75% commission on your product. 2)Provide banners, ppc ads, articles etc. to affiliates. 3)Put advertisement on clickbank itself. Many affiliates visits clickbank daily. Current rate for money making category is $650 per month. 4)Submit a $360 press release to PRWEB.COM for more publicity. 5)Advertise on CNN.com and BBC.co.uk for creating awareness about your product. Good luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
