Sales Funnel Question

Alright Warriors

Dear Warriors

I am finally ready.. I am just putting the finishing touches to my site before launch. I have done most things apart from the actually sales funnel which is why I am here asking for a little of guidance please.
I know what a sales funnel is and what it entails, such as upsell and downsell, etc. However my mind is completely blank at the moment to what to offer people..
Let me try my best to explain:
My original idea/plan
Was to offer a video package (blueprint) of 80 videos for a fixed price, let's say for a one of payment of $27. However I was having a hard time trying to work out what to upsell customers with, etc.
So now after some thought I have come up with this idea. I would like to offer each month a new set of blueprints. Now this is where the dilemma comes in.

1) Do I change the whole concept of site so it becomes a monthly based subscription? If I do, do that I will need to change the existing sales page. Because that is currently written for the idea of a fixed price, and not monthly idea, and also talks about the first set of blueprints.

With this idea, then the upsell could be lifetime access to the site etc.

2) Or do I still have the first set of videos, 80 as the first purchase of $27, then offer them access to a monthly subscription service as the upsell where they can receive extra blueprints?

Sorry if this sound likes a stupid question but I am trying to work out the best route.

Both ideas 1 and 2 have merit.

Perhaps use number 2 but not have the initial offer to be all 80 videos but a lesser amount. The upsell could be to have them get the full 80.

Also - perhaps not even have an upsell. Perhaps increase the $27 dollar price a bit and sell the total at that price. Use the list to market future products to, after they are very satisfied with the value of their initial purchase.

Don't have an upsell?? That's a strange thing to say.. Never heard that one before.. As far as I'm aware you need one unless all 2017 teachings have changed now....

Many successful businesses, including those in the make money online market, don't have upsells.

How do they do it? They understand their audience, their product, what works, what doesn't, etc.

One of the worst things people can do is to blindly follow anyone. Just because a bunch of people said you need an upsell, doesn't mean you should force the issue just for the sake of having an upsell. That's silly.

Not knowing what to offer as an upsell is an indication you probably shouldn't have one right now. Why?

Because you don't know what people want or need or are willling to buy. Also, if you don't know what to offer that means you haven't created anything new. So waiting around on getting the magical upsell is just wasting time. Get your stuff that is ready out there for sale and then you can add an upsell later, is my opinion.

Of your two options, I personally like #2 better. But I'm probably not your target market so don't listen to me, listen to them.

Perhaps 80 video in one pack is too much, you can break it in few part to create some upsell and down sell.

Mark is right - I add upsells to my products typically after they have been on the market for a while when I know exactly what my market wants in ADDITION to what I am offering...not a bad idea to try different things, but they real key when you launch is to know your numbers.

At the end of the day you must recoup a healthy profit from your offering (no matter if that means a single front-end product or a complete series of product via sales funnel) so that you can scale the marketing of your products (time/outsource/hire content production, pay for ads, attract and support affiliates, etc...)

Sales funnels do work, we use them on several of our sites - but again they only work if the offer makes absolute sense and the offer is too good to refuse.
