Is there any way I can somehow search on a clickbank's merchant ID and see who out there on the net is promoting them (their affiliate IDs)? Can this only be done with something like affiliate elite?

I don't think you can see unless you are the vendor. You could check their Alexa.com traffic sources clickstream and see which websites are sending their website traffic.

If you do a Google search using "vendorid.hop" (change vendorid to the actual one) you will return a list of URLs that include the affiliate ids.
This won't necessarily give you ALL the affiliates but it should show you a lot of them. I guess a quick bit of php could extract the affiliate's for you, but it is too early in the morning for that! Martin |

Searching on "MERCHANTID.hop.clickbank.net" is the best that I've found so far.
I think what I'm looking for is a google operator that searches the html source of a page rather then the page itself. Then I could craft a search for a specific affiliate link that exists in the source. Anyone know how to do this? I tried the "link:" search parameter but it doesn't seem to work with clickbank hoplinks. |

1. The old style hoplink format http://hop.clickbank.net/?affiliate/vendor 2. The new cloaked link from the ClickBank Marketplace 3. A vendor provided affiliate link from an affiliate management program such as easyClickMate In addition (1) and (3) could also be cloaked by the affiliate Because of (3) it might be best to check if the vendor does use an affiliate management program. An alternative to searching for the vendor id of course is just to search for the product title Harvey | |

Okay, I had a bit of time to spare today (while drinking green tea in Starbucks) so I threw together a small php script to find affiliate ids.
I don't know how to post php code on this forum, so you can download the script from http://cbtarget.com/afflookup.zip (There is nothing to buy there and no squeeze.) It checks up to 500 Google listings and returns the affiliate id along with the number of listings that id was found in (a measure of how active the affiliate is). The results are not by any means exhaustive, but they should give a guide. Also note that I've added a 5 second delay between interrogating Google pages (to minimize the risk of getting an IP ban from them) so after you click the submit button, please be patient! All you do when you run the script is type in a vendor id in the input box and click on submit. This is quick and dirty code, so it isn't particularly pretty or optimized, but it should do its job! ![]() Have fun! Martin |

Affiliate Elite does, although I think they're geographical. I couldn't extract squat with that.

This is 100% FREE and no squeeze page - you might want to join their
program (I get nothing out of this just want to help) "Clickbank Buzz is a simple but powerful desktop application that you could use to reveal the identities of your Clickbank affiliates and keep tabs on your competitors' affiliates in a matter of minutes! All you have to do is insert in the vendor I.D of your product or your competitor's products, click around and you'll get details of the affiliate pages and their ranking! " The company is ok with giving this software away because it is rebrandable and promotes their products but isn't required to do so. http://www.imbuzzcreators.com/affili...BuzzSilver.zip I hope this helps |

If you contact the vendor, they may give you a list of publishers that help promote them.
Would you want someone looking at your aff ID? CB just put a new vendor history button up. This shows you how many % wise are promoting the offer. Also, keep in mind that just because some one signed up as an affiliate, it doesn't mean they are actively promoting. Especially the newer affiliates out there. I have seen many affiliates jump around from one hot thing to the next and never really promote. Your vendor will usually have a leader board available to show who are the top sellers of the product. Hope that helps. Rhonda. |
