Outlook Error after updating Paypal Default email?

Hi guys

Yesterday added 2 email accounts to my Paypal account, one of them as default. Everything went fine, completed the confirm emails etc.

Now, this morning, i can't send/receive emails in those accounts.

All the accounts on same server/domain work fine - just these 2 (the ones io added to Paypal) are screwed.

wtf?

Just deleted the accounts from Paypal, went to Cpanel, deleted them, created new ones.

This is the most weird error i ever saw but since this is WinVista... and Outlook...

Just wondered; Did you create two new email accounts to fix it, or did you recreate the same two email accounts after having first deleted them?

I did recreate the old ones. Delete them from my Outlook and Cpanel and created them again.

Same stuff - different passwords.

And funny, now everything works fine again.

I wonder what the hell happened.

Not easy to guess what could have happened, but the delete and recreate part just goes to show one of the methods I've used lots of times in my 25 years as an IT consultant to fix strange errors.

You look at some Windows settings where you can clearly see that every bit of information is correct. Things does not work as they should though.
You change the settings to something you are sure is not correct. Then you save that information, thereby also deleting the information that seemed correct.
You change your settings back to what you think are correct and save them. Looks exactly like before, but now everything works as it should.
