If I promote my own product on CB, will it increase the gravity and raise awareness for my product?

Thanks

You want to get your product onto the first page of the search on clickbank- and to do that, you have to get affiliates to increase your gravity (because you cannot really do that alone)... otherwise you may NOT see the results you are looking for.

As well, you may also want to try their paid advertising service- where you pay to have your website advertised on the sides of clickbank (and also on their front page, where you login etc... if you have seen that before) and that will help you out as well.

but certainly, it will raise awareness- but you can also consider recruiting affiliates, or getting someone to help you recruit people to market your product...

but there are really so many ways you can create awareness of your product alongside clickbank- such as in videos, articles, reviews, opt in/email lists etc...

but if you are talking about increasing your rankings with the search engines- as mentioned, you can try many things alongside this- but recruiting affiliates will certainly be a natural way to get noticed by them. But you may also get affiliates and have them bump up your website on the serps themselves, by clicking the option to "promote this". It's the little arrow beside each website, and when people start choosing your website as an option to answer their question, you can also get better ranked- Although I am not sure of the success of doing this either- because i am sure it also comes alongside all of what I have mentioned above and below, in regards to affiliates and other things.

With regard to CB gravity, what happens if you are one of those marketers who create thousands of micro-niched key-worded mini-sites and each site has a different affiliate link to your own CB product, would that increase gravity, or is the gravity algorithm somewhat based on the IP address of the sites linking to it?

    Just curious...

As far as I am aware- there is NO algorithm for the clickbank page..LOL it's simply based off of affiliate success with your product! Which means it's based off of sales from DIFFERENT affiliates ON clickbank itself. You have your clickbank ID- you make a sale- that counts as something towards your gravity. That sale goes into YOUR clickbank ID, right?

Ok, that's fine- make as many sales as you want now, but it wont increase your gravity really. However, let's say you had 5 affiliates. They each make JUST ONE sale- and that sale goes into 5 different clickbank ID's now...right? That DOES add to your gravity- because it is from other people, and that's how it works, as far as I am aware.

Your gravity on clickbank is kindof like the tracking of how well your product does when OTHER people sell it. That's how those products get to the first pages of clickbank, in searches...because AFFILIATES have successfully sold it and it has thus then gained popularity that way, because it does well.

Clickbank is for affiliates (other people) in the firstplace- so understandably, that is why they would have it work that way... where you need affiliate sales to boost your rankings and increase your gravity- it's really got nothing to do with anything else, as the feedback and popularity you can gain on clickbank comes from the sucess of your product in relation to affiliates. (thus real feedback...rather than computerized stuff).

Other than this, you could just advertise your product on clickbank (it shows up in the sides like an ad) by paying for it- which is what some people do when first starting out, because they don't have many affiliates yet.

If you have a good product, however, it will be easy to get quick results with clickbank, but you still need those affiliates. Whatever links and whatnot you have going on in your page wouldn't matter, because it actually goes back to the original clickbank ID itself where all the funds collect.

You just need people to buy it- only not from you, from your affiliates. So- hope that helped?

P.S. You can advertise to get affiliates here on WF- but you should be ready to offer the warriors a product which really will convert, bonuses etc... to prompt them to want to promote your product.
