Is this post a PR1 link?

I have some questions about getting links to my webpages.
I´ve heard that getting high ranking PR1 sites to link to "my site" is important in marketing.
(and its even better if that PR1 site has relevant content to "my site".

But how about forum signatures?, I assume that this site is a PR1 site (at least when the keywords are about internet marketing) and if I post 10 forum signatures it means I will have 10 PR1 links if I post my web site link in my signature.

So why is there a need to get/buy PR1 links if you can get it free this way,
are others factors concerned, or am I right?

Sincerely
Karl

Just wanted to clarify something ... PR1 (Page Rank 1) is not high. You want to aim at getting PR 4 and higher sites pointing back to your site.

And if I understand backlinking correctly, you get credit for the site's homepage PR. The WarriorForum has a PR of 4, if I remember right.
