Default "Merging" Sites - Any Reason Not To?

Here are four sites that I have:

Site A: 24 pages of content, PR3, ~1000s visitors/mo.

Site B: One page of real* content, PR0, ~50 visitors/mo.

Site C: One page of real* content, PR1, ~50 visitors/mo.

Site D: Two pages of real* content, PR1, ~50 visitors/mo.

*Not counting "Welcome" pages.

Sites C and D both have links to Site A. Site A does not link back to either of them.

Does it make sense to just shut down Sites B, C, D; put their content on Site A; and 301 redirect the traffic from Sites B, C, and D to the appropriate pages on Site A?
