If you get an email that says New Private Message at WarriorForum don't just hit the reply button, the person sending you the PM will never see your email.

    How about opening a paid private section of the forum and tweak the script so that any email replies to private messages are automatically posted in there for members to peruse and learn from -

      I guess some people just aren't paying attention to where their mail actually came from, and where it's going to.

      Getting the notification e-mails from PMs is about as old as forums themselves. I guess some people still haven't caught on how it works.

      What Allen means is -

      DON'T - hit reply in your email client and try to reply to the PM by email

      DO - log into the forum and reply via the private message system. There is a link in the email that will send you straight to your forum PM inbox - just log in if you are not already.

    Thanks Allen I needed a good laugh!

    I had the same problem with a Dolphin site before and someone developed a add on script that took care of those emails.

    Surely there is one available for this forum too?
    If I come across it I will send you the link so you can check it out.
