I need your help to create a logo

Hey guys,

I'm making a blog for relatively young IM entrepreneurs (18-30y.o) who have a business and are looking to take it to the next level.

The blog is called 'Internet Marketing Street Smarts' and will have a logo. Most designers just add a pointless arrow of some sort to make the logo, but I want something symbolic and representative of what the blog is about.

I want the logo to represent success/freedom/money/fun/cutting edge/adventurous/risky.

Right now my idea is to have a outline of a Porsche/Ferrari behind a night time city background to represent money and power. The other idea is to have a Porsche/Ferrari with the background of a beach to represent money, adventure and freedom.

Only problem with that atm is it may be a bit too complicated and not too relevant to business advice for information business entrepreneurs.

So that's why I'm asking for your help, what do you think would make a good logo?

I don't mean to be a jerk, but your ideas for a logo seem really hypey and cliche. Why don't you just throw a dude with bling, holding a thick fanned out wad of 100's, 5 girls around him, and a leer jet into it too?

I do understand your demographic is younger so maybe those ideas aren't too bad.

To me, the view from a penthouse suite represents everything you're talking about. Admittedly, I don't know how you work that into a logo.

Do you want a logo or just ideas about how to write the title on the website? The two are very different things. One is all about branding and being unique.

Alex,
The bright red Ferrari would be a too-much-worn resource for a blog header, in my opinion.
What about a young lad riding a mountain bike up a luminous green hill, with rocks here and there? Or looking down to a rich valley from the top a mountain?
Freedom in open spaces speak better of success, I think.

Alex, you're obviously free to do as you please, but think hard about this. Do you want to stand out, or do you want to be just another 'me too' guy?

Look at all the threads here where people assume both the car and the girls are rented and the wad is phony?

How many say the flashy car and big house aren't important, that they'd rather see the world in style? Your logo idea just excluded them.

You could ask 'what does success feel like' and get something closer to universal.

When I think of the feeling of success, I picture someone with their arms thrust in the air, head back, and howling in triumph. Picture the "Rocky" scene with Stallone on the courthouse stairs.

You could make a bodacious logo using that kind of silhouette as the base for a logo, rather than the same tired bling.

I think success looks like a chihuahua surrounded by five million dollars in cash. Tens, twenties, fifties, hundreds, even some fives and ones.

Tiny dog, big bucks. That's a picture of awesome right there. Awesome success.

Tell you what... I have a chihuahua. You send me the cash, and I'll get you hundreds of pictures to choose from.

Short of that, I think JohnMcCabe has a great idea.

Hi Alex,

Thought: REAL success doesn't have to try hard. It doesn't have to be in your face.

Thought: PHONEY success looks like an expensive car wrapped in a jewelry store parked in front of a mansion.

Street smarts would say to NOT show off your wealth. If you do you draw unneeded competiton, or could get yourself mugged.

But, I'm guessing you are going for flash instead of class. That's your choice. Just wanted to share my opinion.

Yeah after having some time to think about it I'm not gonna go for the flashy style.

I'm gonna go for something like mountains/rocky type silhouette/laptop. This is gonna be cool I'll be sure to post the finished product when it's done in 5 days
