Default 2 questions: Email subscribers and delivery methods?

Hey guys,

I have 2 questions:

1. At the moment I don't have money for a service such as Aweber for my subscription list. I am using PHPList to gather subscribers. How difficult is it to import my subscribers from PHPList to something like Aweber once I have enough money?

2. I'm REALLY out of the loop when it comes to actually SELLING my soon to be finished product, and delivering it. What is the actual process that you need to have setup to complete a transaction, and make sure the buyer get's the product and you get your money? Like literally as detailed as you can get, services and all, I really have NO IDEA about how to go about doing this!

Thanks in advance!

SS

Hi SS,

1. I'm a user of AWeber. It does allow for import of subscribers. What you need to do is format your existing subscribers data to a format supported by AWeber (one line per subscriber; data fields delimited by a special character such as TAB or ~).

Once that's done, you just need to copy and paste that data to a form designated for this purpose.

There are some limitations though. AWeber currently limits to 2,000 subscribers per day. Besides, all subscribers you imported must confirm their signup to your list (again) as if they are a new subscriber. However, you can include a message number field to the data to be imported. That number signals the last message sent from your existing email service.

2. As for payment processing and delivery, I'm using ClickBank. Regardless of the service provider you used, there are 2 things that must be in place minimally:

a) Sales page - Describe your product, its benefits, etc., and a link to checkout form.

b) Thank you page - Upon approval of payment, your customers will be redirected to this page. This is where you thank them for their business and it usually contains either download instructions or a signup form (to capture their name and email address before showing them download instructions).
