What Does Google Analytics Do?

I just started using Google Analytics but I've noticed that the traffic they give is very low, much lower than Webalizer. I know that Webalizer counts bots and feeds but are they really that much more? I show 27 sites on W and only 3 on Analytics.

    Personally every service I use is way off which leads me think they are all wrong. That being said when selling a site people usually wanna see G analytics data so I guess I'd go by that.

    One problem with GA is that it's javascript based, therefore anyone who blocks javascript in their browser settings won't register.

      Good thing to know if javascript is blocked in their browser GA becomes useless.

      Is javascript something that people typically block on browser though?
