What is BUMP marketing?

About a day ago I happened to chance upon this word. I didn't get the meaning..

Could anybody please explain. Also, how this is done.

Do you mean BUM marketing or really BUMP? perhaps BUMP marketing means bumping your WSO?

Ohh im sorry let me clarify that, BUMP method, somehow related to traffic generation.

I never saw this phrase before, BUM marketing is about traffic generation though writing articles

LOL - Bumping is not well regarded by Forum users.

Bumping is all about finding an old forum post that is on topic to what you are promoting, leaving your comment making sure that your signature link is on point then posting it.

The new post on most Forum boards gets pushed to the front of the Forum page thus giving it immediate exposure at no cost to you.

It's a crappy way to go about getting a trickle of traffic 'cause in effect you end up upsetting the key influencers in the Forum who you may one day call upon to help you with your IM journey.

It is essentially SPAM so I do not recommend this method at all to anyone who wants to build a positive online reputation and a business soon thereafter.

Next time you come to a red light, stop a little too late so that you bump into the car ahead of you. When the other driver jumps out of their car, hand them a copy of your sales letter to read while waiting for the authorities to arrive.

From then on, every time they have a car accident, they will think of you!

There is a twist on this involving trays at the cafeteria, but I'm saving that one for Bump Marketing 2.
