"I am not going to sell or rent out this list .... so don't bother pm-ing for the same"

I have a list of 300,000 Email addresses how to build an Opt-in List?

This is what I have thought about using the list as, you can give your suggestions as I am a newbiee

  • Mail 300,000 with an intro mail on "making money online" - Recommend a bulk mailer
  • Provide a link to an Opt-in page along with an video (squeeze page)
  • Provide a freebie E-book for opting-in. - Any recommendation for an E-book freebie or a JV
  • Capture opted in email addresses with AWeber e-mail marketing software.
Will my IP address be banned if I mail 300,000 at one go?
Will my intro mail (first mail) be considered SPAM for mailing withoutpermission?

That is the definition of spam, yes.

This was discussed the other day. But to reiterate again if you do not have the unique IP's of all 'your' list and they've opted in then you need to bin them! Why? Because you'll be spamming them and at best you'll lose your internet provider and may be blacklisted from using other providers. At worst (in many countries) spamming on this scale could result in a criminal case against you and/or a huge fine!

I also acquired 1 million leads for $9.95 from eBay.

      Then my email got banned.

      End.

Listen to what people are saying. At some time or other a lot of us have been tempted by a huge list of leads... but the fact is... these leads are worthless.

I don't know how you got them or what you paid... but consider the price I'd expect to pay for a good lead:

They say an IM lead, if you cultivate a good relationship with the list, can be worth $1/month. If you had 300,000 leads (a good portion of whom were also buyers)... what price would you ask for them?

    $300,000?

How about $3,600,000? You know, what those leads would be worth over just one year...

Remember, your leads haven't agreed to get e-mail from you... so you can't mail.... this is just to give you an idea of what I'd expect to pay for a list like that.

Do not by Emailing Lists... That is un-ethical. If you are to do anything with that list, send them an e-mail asking their permission to be on your mailing lists and state you do not wish to have any complaints

(Try a friendly approach) Even then, you're still running at a risk of complaints and will be banned. Just be carefull.

100 targeted prospects are worth more than 100,000 random email addresses.
