What's The Hardest Way To Make Money Online?

These questions are getting really boring. Why do so
many people want an easy life?

What's wrong with challenging and stretching yourself?

So, what are the hardest, most challenging and yet
most rewarding ways of making money online?

For example, I've been working on a project with another
Warrior for around two years to develop what we believe
will be a revolutionary script.

Why is it challenging?

We've invested a lot of cash in the venture and seen no
return at all on that investment yet.

When we launch we plan to give the script away. Therefore
we will need to invest even more in marketing before we
see a return.

We've allocated the project to multiple programmers over
the last two years. While this means that no one coder has
had access to the entire script, it has been a nightmare to
manage.

We've suffered from the unpredictability and unreliability
of several coders who have let us down and delayed the
project.

Who else is up for hard work, high risk and long term
reward?

Thats what IM is all about.

People often forget that the goal is to build a business.

Personally, I'd say selling high ticket items has proven to be difficult.
But I believe that anything that you put the effort into will pay off.
Hell, I've been researching IM for the last four years now and only this
year I have started to make some money. I predict a snowball effect.

Reason being, when you spend so long, you collect these little aha moments,
which pilled on top of each other will only leave you on the upward trend.

IM is probably the most hard thing to do for a newbie.
Even for us intermediate and advanced marketers, IM
will continue to change with the times and technological
advances. But I am totally O.K with that.

There are too many advantages to IM to NOT do it.

Just a little rant of my own.

    Cheers.

I have to be real honest here..

There are times when I can take it easy, still making big cash.. but the majority of my business is so far removed from the "internet riches lifestyle" that it almost hurts.

If I didn't enjoy it so much, I'd give it up

I work very hard with my team, and it works for me...

    Peace

        John,

I think it's important to distinguish between hard work and productivity.

When I first started out in IM I worked very hard - up to 12 hours a day browsing forums, joining giveaways, signing up for freebies, managing my incoming emails (300 - 500 a day), posting on everybody else's blog but my own . . .

Hard work + plan + action = success

Hard work + headless chicken = misery

The hardest is way to make money online is very easy to find - just ask any of the people who constantly bleat that anyone who claims to make a living is a scammer. The WF is full of them - witness all the 'I'm giving up' threads.

The hardest way is the way most people seem to start out - by listening to everyone but hearing nobody, by reading everything but understanding nothing, by confusing knowledge with action and scurrying after the former while being terrified of the latter.

The hardest way is to try to go it alone when there is a world of people just waiting to give you some help.

The hardest way is to continually seek the easiest way and fail to realize that if that strategy doesn't work in the real world, it isn't going to stand much chance in the online one.

The hardest way is to start out with an attitude of entitlement and not get over it.

John I must be a sucker but if there is a hard way and an easy way
I will climb Mount Everest every time. There are two ways of looking at
the reasons behind what you are doing you are looking for a new and
core business that will be revolutionary whilst others are jumping on
the get rich quick in and out strategy.
    Both are productivve and profitable

John: I think a lot of people fall in love with the lifestyle and are under the misconception it's easy money.

You can thank the constant stream of get rich videos that are banded about.

Good luck finishing your new project!

The titles of some of the posts here will tell you that people don't want to have to put in even minimal time, effort, or money.

"what's the fastest way I can make money?'
"I need to make $50K by January"
"What's the easiest business to start?"
    etc, etc, etc...

When I was trying to give away my business earlier this week (a dismal failure, btw) - I got responses like "how much money can I make a day?" "how many orders do you get a day?" "I plan to outsource everything"... when they found out they would actually have to WORK at it - forget it. They were no longer interested...

We seem to be "raising" a new crop of marketers who think they are "entitled"...

Right I hear you and some of these types of posts are possibly by folk who just don't want to lift a finger, I dunno.

Of course I agree with the hard work, rolling the sleeves up scenario will reaps rewards but I do have to say this in the newbies defence.

The only reason why some newbies are wanting to know about making money overnight is because the people who are working hard are telling them that they can, in no uncertain terms (if they purchase their product of course). Where else would they have got that idea?

When I first starting looking into working online from home last year that's all I saw. Make £xx,xxx amount of money in a week by working 2 hours per day and so on. Even though I was extremely cynical, it was hard to avoid and ignore these lucrative claims in varying amounts and time zones. I was absolutely willing to work my socks off but if there was an easier, more efficient way....

So I can see that some folk who are not so mature or a bit niave or just desperate for cash can easily fall for it and it might have nothing to do with a lack of wanting to work hard or determination, just wanting to have the lies clarified here.

The hardest hurdle in I.M is avoiding these horrendously misleading claims, at least initially, until you have got a bit of an understanding of how it all works.

I'm sure there are plenty of warriors here who had to crash down to earth realise that the above claims were not true for the humble newbie and knuckle down to some hard graft - I know I did.

Doing something groundbreaking and completely new.

If you're just following a well-worn path, while you still might fail, at least you know for certain that the potential for success is there.

Those who venture into new territory are taking the larger risk - but often with the chance of greater reward.

Unfortunately, those who are most skilled at creation often aren't skilled at marketing or in business. Those who really succeed either have a breadth of skills or have a team that fills in the gaps in their knowledge so that all three of these areas are sufficiently addressed.

The hardest way to make money is by doing nothing.

Another hard way to make money is by watching dvd's, drinking beer and eating chips, when there is stuff to be done.

It's really funny how one usually gets the "Aha" moments when no longer sitting on the sofa.

          I hear you, John.

I'm working on a project that I hope to have live by next July. It's B2B and focused on a specific offline industry. I suppose you would call it a membership site. There will be a substantial joining fee and a recurring annual membership fee.

And it'll probably cost over $50,000 to develop & launch. With no guarantee of success.

The only guarantee is that I'd beat myself up from here to eterninty if I sat on the idea and someone else acted on it. And someone else for sure would. It's only a matter of WHEN. So, I'm getting down to business.

Like you said, it is challenging. But the potential reward is well worth the risk. I get a kick out of thinking this new business venture could provide steady (full time) employment for 10-20 people if all goes well. Especially in the current economic climate.

That's what gets me going. Knowing that I could do something that would have a profound impact on a good number of people and their families.

  • I LOVE hard work, high risk and long term rewards!

I really admire that you can devote so much of your time and money into something unknown, I don't know if I quite have the balls for that and I'm fairly certain that 99% of people don't either.

You can't really blame people for wanting the quick cash route to riches.

For one thing, getting rich fast is possible on the internet and certainly more possible than in the real world. I know of many people who, in less than a year, have become wealthy from the internet.

Secondly, this very forum is littered with claims of quick rich schemes.

Thirdly, MANY people don't want to get rich quick they simply need to make money fast because they are facing very adverse circumstances.....just like I have over the past few years.

But while getting rich quick on the internet is certainly possible it happens to be very improbable, something I've long been forced to concede over the years. The fact that it really is possible to get rich quick is what makes the IM market so damn profitable.

  • In my opinion blogging is the hardest way to make money in IM. For me it's also the most rewarding. It takes time to build a blog, get it up in the SERPs, keep it fresh enough to keep people coming back, get a handle on who your visitors are and what they're looking for when they find you, put products and services in front of them that will interest them... and so on.

It's much easier to go the straight marketing route.

The hardest way for anyone to make money online will be to take all the information and ebooks (or information) and then not use it.

The second great tip will be to start a project and then leave it in the middle and start doing something else.

I guarantee you that if you keep following these two tips you won't be able to make any money online for a long long time.

I have made a whole blog on this since April. I have been mildly successful in some areas and tonnes of failures in others. The one thing I like about blogs, is they are fast to put up, instant response if done right, low risk, and most of all a great place to produce a forum for a potential audience. Promoting and marketing is the hardest part for any online venture, this where you spend most of your time. Done right, it could pay off in spades. Hope that helps.
