Default Where's The Best Place To Source Public Domain Content?

I've been researching PLR and resellers rights and it seems there's a lot of money to be made in this type of internet business.

Trouble is most people are lazy and just sell products on without making any changes. Surely when you resell the product you should make it original and unique so it stands out from the competition?

I want to source original content from the public domain.

Does anyone know of any web sites where i can get decent quality public domain content?

Hey Jim

Try: Main Page - Gutenberg

If you're looking for physical books try: Alibris: Search Books

Go to 'advanced search' and under 'publication year' type in 1923 in the 'before' box.
Any results that show up are in the public domain. You can order some very inexpensive books here.

Hope this helps!

Jose

Advanced Book Search

select public domain only

My favorite source is used book stores and thrift shops.

I have 500+ public domain books, many which can't be found online.

As a side note...

This is the absolute best online resource I've found for researching copyright renewals.

I’ve been doing some more PLR research and on Jeremy Gislason’s Sure Fire Wealth web site I came across this www.virtualpropertytycoon.com

Has anyone got any experience with this product or have any views on it?

It looks quite cool...

Hi Jim,

Here you go:

http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page

You should start here. Many uncovered bestselling gems.

Do a search for your niche keywords, and also for "how to", "course", "handbook", "report", "study", etc...

http://books.mirror.org/gb.home.html

http://infomotions.com/alex/

http://www.worldwideschool.org/library/catalogs/bysubject-top.html

http://www.econlib.org/library/classics.html

http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/

http://www.absolute1.net/free_self-help_books_online.html

http://ibiblio.org/

http://www.readprint.com/

http://www.zerotime.com/lostbook/

http://psychclassics.yorku.ca/index.htm

http://www.ancienttexts.org/library/index.html

http://www.library.utoronto.ca/utel/

http://www.henriettesherbal.com/

http://www.easymediabroadcast.com/

http://www.boat-links.com/books/electron.html

http://www.flyfishinghistory.com/bibliography.htm

And this is just a small (really small) portion of what you can find online.

Those links are full of Public Domain content for you to use in any way you wish, covering many bestselling niches.
