Viral videos

Let's say a person has a membership site and they generate traffic by various advertising methods. JV, youtube videos, banners etc. And let's say that they're doing great with it and it's a full time deal for them. When I look at the whole internet marketing thing, I see a lot of people who are aiming to go a few grand a month, and that there are others who really 'made it' that are making, say, $25,000/month. Bringing it up it that level seems difficult, but hear me out on something here and let me do a little math for this hypothetical situation.

Ok, the said person has a membership site with a continuity product, the product is stellar and everyone is satisfied with it, and their copy is great. And if, and I mean IF somehow someway, this person has an ingenious idea for making a video get at least 1,000,000 views in no time, do you think that that would equate for some serious business?

If one would go viral and get 1,000,000 views, there are sure to be a few others that will get the same amount of traffic. This leads me to believe that millions could be on the horizon.

The reason I'm posting this is because I seriously can't think of any other way that is as extreme as this one. If the person has what it takes then it's possible.

What do you think?

In theory it's possible. There are some videos on YouTube that get a million views, but not many. You would have to have a) an outstanding, original or quirky video and b) get it mentioned on mainstream media like TV or a magazine to get a massive surge of traffic that will get others recommending it.

Possible, but easier said than done IMHO.
