You should always have a look at how much competition you have because more the competition, the harder it is for you to rank. |

Hi there, If you are targeting keywords that are too competitive then you will need to do a lot more SEO work and be more patient for them to rank well for their keywords. Your best best is to target low competition, high traffic keywords as you can rank for these in a few days and start getting traffic. Through these you can then target the more competitive ones, but definitely target less competitive keywords. E.g. Weight Loss is too broad and too competitive. However, Natural Weight Loss Diet or Natural Weight Loss Program is much less competitive and easier for you to rank for. Target those and you will start to get traffic. All the best Jason |

I think the first thing you must be able to do is the research part of the equation. The first thing I would do in that area is go up and hit the little search button for this forum and type in "keyword research" and I bet you will get more information than you will know what to do with.

Ok here is a little trick for articles with keywords. one look at your keyword and then use wonderwheel its under options on the goggle page. Drill down twice. pick a term then check the hits on keyword tool, you need less than 100'000 Use that as your article name, but add 7 steps to or 3 tips to after your article has gone live, post in into your blog, then post your blog link to digg, reddit etc and this will increase the exposure. make sure you put your opt in page link into your blog post. This will increasce your posts traffic. |

Not necessarily the keywords research problem. It could be that your articles are not SEO optimised or that that you didn't take advantage of SILO(s) in your articles.

Im creating an ebook that will be the most comprehensive manual ever on the subject of keyword research and seo. Well, it wont be comprehensive, wrong word to use. Rather, it will be packed with Top Secret outsider.....I mean insider, tips from the Masters themselves on how you can take your articles, and optimize them to show up on Google's front page in the #1 spot in no less than 3.5 hours. All this information is "valued" at $237,546.97. But im making it available to my fellow warriors for the low low price of only $17. And i know its a digital ebook but im only releasing 36 copies. Once theyre sold the price is going up to $197. So jump on it now to gain all the mystical other worldly magical "secrets." Okay seriously, just do some keyword research. Drill down and focus on longer-tails rather than broad. Practice makes perfect. Keep working at it and you'll eventually get it. |

one thing to see is if for one if you are seo optimizing the article correctly and then if is optimized correctly begin to look at competition keywords and do keyword research with more than one tool. A lot of tools are google orientated, so it is important to look at other tools because I found google stats on searches are not always correct.(probably because they do pay per clicks and would prefer people to use their paid ads)

Hello, You can find many resources about keyword research that can help you, i will share with you some tips but ofcourse there`s much more clearification on web sites, here`s:- First make a list of every phrase you can think of that people might use to find what your site is going to offer. Ask your friends and colleagues for input and try to find people that are within your site's target audience to get an idea of how they would search. Once you have a good long list use search engine databases to refine it and see what people have actually searched for when looking for similar sites. If you have money to spend buy Wordtracker. Otherwise use Overture's free keyword suggestion tool or Google's tool. You can also check Google, AltaVista and FAST Alltheweb.com using a Boolean search to see how many other sites are listed when you type in your keywords. This will give you an idea of how many other sites are also using those terms. Now, looking at your target audience you need to decide which terms THEY, not you or your marketing agency, are most likely to use. Bear in mind that most people do "natural language" searches. They do not use marketing terminology. Generally speaking, they use simple 2-4 word phrases. You may want your website to say "marvellously wonderful widgets" but your target audience is most likely going to look for "blue widget" and so find your competitor who chose to stick with his keyword research despite what the marketing department said. You will need to use common sense when compiling the information from friends, online search query databases and the amount of other sites using your terms. Bear in mind that your site's text and optimisation can be refined as you go along so you do not need to get it 100% perfect the first time around. You will most often find that even after exhaustive keyword research, the site will need to be tweaked in a year (or sooner) as your website statistics will reveal that people are using other terms to search for you. The way people search does change according to industry trends, new products on the market, etc... And most likely your site will change as well. Now that you have a good list of highly relevant phrases you can start working on your search engine friendly, keyword rich website content. Wish that can help you, B.Regards |

| Obviously the lower the better, but I target keywords with less than 50,000 competing sites. It's interesting though because each niche varies so greatly, you might find one keyword with only 2,000 competing, but that competition be so fierce you don't stand a chance. Then again, other keywords might have 200,000 competing, but be very weak. Would you rather swim with 10 sharks with teeth, or 100 sharks without? The point here is that it not only pays to look at the numbers themselves, but the actual strength/weakness of your keyword competition. The EASIEST way I've found to do this is through Market Samurai. It is my keyword research tool of choice. The software comes with a keyword research module that is free for life. The competition analysis module however is a paid feature. The good news is there is a 12 day free trial (I think) to test the software. If you'd like to try this software, I'd recommend joining Ed Dale's 30 Day Challenge first for three reasons... (1) the 30 Day Challenge is FREE and it's awesome (2) the 30 Day Challenge offers killer keyword research training (3) the 30 Day Challenge also offers a steep discount on the Market Samurai software (again...I think) Finally, here's a great free resource for article marketing. It's pretty killer. Hope it helps. Article Marketing Mastery Blueprint |

keep to keywords between 1500 local hits to 100'000. Look for long tailed keywords. Easier to dominate at these levels

Ok here goes Go to goggle keyword tool. Look up you main keyword. Look for ones under 100'000 and over 1500. Then create an article with that keyword in the tile. So lets say its train you dog, the title could be the 7 best ways to train you dog. Post the article, using the keyword again in the keyword section. So after the aritcle is accepted and posted on ezines, then post the same article with the same tittle in your blog. Tag it with the keyword again. Then take you bloig link and put it up on digg and reddit. This gives you 4 posts with the same keywords. Then write another article that is top 3 tips on how to train your dog, reapte the process. Now you have 8 posts on the keyword. Then take the keyword go to goggle wonder wheel, drill down a level and go again., |

This seems to be a good method, but the problems is, we must write a lot of articles for 1 keyword.. why not bookmarking that acceptep EZA??? so it wouldn't need to write another articles for the same keywords... Vaan Quote:

Use the google research tool to find your keywords Go for low competition keywords, less the about 10,000 pages when in quotes analyse the competion for the keyword not in quotes if it's filled with high page rank pages look for another word, If there are lots of poor quality and article directory sites go for it Create an enticing title Only give away general information in the content and promise more specific information in you bio box go for a keyword density of about 1% the extra time spent on each article will be worth it in the end result use PLR article and swap out other words for your keyword. Change the article title, the first paragraph and random word thoughout the txt Hire a good freelance article writer to create really good articles. |
