Computer was set up in my bedroom, now it's in the 'extra' room. I have the computer desk with the pc, printer/copier/fax, binders, paper, etc against one wall. I have my trophy saddle from a rodeo on a stand in a corner, a big, blue inflatable-dog ball-pit in one corner and a small, purple, fuzzy papasan chair that my cat is currently sleeping in next to my desk. I have a nice view of the horses out the window too. I have to share the space with a 2 1/2 year old and a 1 year old..... When we move (hopefully in a few months) I will have a dedicated home office, a view of my horses in a large field with a pond, an island in the middle of it and a thousand acre forest behind that. Been paying the mortgage on it for about 4 years, it's about time I get to benefit from the peacefulness of it, lol. |

![]() I'm in my living room, I find if I work in another room, no one ever sees me and hubby forgets I exist. (Unless its a mealtime of course and he wants feeding). I can switch off mentally from the telly, (if he has it on) If the grandkids are here, I try and spend as much time with them as possible (obviously), but if I do need to work, I've got the conservatory set up for them with toys, kids TV etc, (I'm not sure why, but they would really sooner be in there lol) Kim | |

Spare bedroom with two pc's and a laptop---printer for each. Wife has her computer on other wall. Have one dog (chihuahua) under the desk and Border Collie always just one inch from chair wheels. And of course as many pictures of grand-kids as I can tape/glue/thumbtack up.

lol... on the pumpkin. I work wherever and whenever I can with my laptop. Mainly though at home, but definitely in a separate area, away from the boob tube. |

I work from my bed room, I feel at home and all the great ideas come to me easily! But working on my laptop in the garden is also a good one, but only to have a unplugged feeling. Most intensive jobs are meant to be done is a regular place.

Separate room in the house. Two set-ups - one for general work and one for product creation (writing). Side table for watching news and training DVDs. A friend is so aware of the "stay out of my office" rule that he got me a sign for over the door. It says: Nobody gets in to see the Wizard. Not nobody, not no-how! When I want to get away from it, I use a different part of the house, with a big fat stuffed chair that's surrounded by plants. I'll occasionally go to the local Panera's, if I want to have coffee and connectivity away from the house entirely, or Ponderosa, if I'm working with a notebook (the paper kind). Possibly the most important tools in my business are the small notebook and pen I always carry in my shirt pocket. I get my best ideas when I'm off doing something else, and not thinking about business at all. Those are the "money shots." Everything else is just execution. Paul |

A Stressless recliner with a built-in adjustable lap top table in my ocean front livingroom/patio with more wireless toys and computer equipment in the office/den a few steps away. As soon as some of your business goals are achieved, seriously consider getting yourself a Stressless recliner when you have a little extra money. Ok maybe a lot of extra money or possibly a furniture mortgage Maybe some real estate too...I know some of you have neck and shoulder pain while marketing... Anyone get neck and shoulder pain while marketing These babies may cost big bucks But the comfort they offer is simply Amazing! And well worth the investment. If you Google around there's always some good web deals to be found. en :: Ekornes Dave |

I work from home and the computer is currently in the hallway. Want to move it to the living room to get more light in, although problems with the router not reaching the phone line then! Sometimes i go to a cafe and work from my laptop although the laptop is quite slow and until I get a new one it does get on my nerves a little having to wait 10 minutes for a webpage to open! ![]() Chris |

I work from my Dad's place, i could work from home, but my Mum and step-dad are into the traditional get out and do your day routine, so i have to dart out for a 30 minute drive to my Dad's place and work from there!! It's annoying, but gets me up in the morning ready to work!!

I converted a room into an office, or I work under the lapa next to the pool. I see clients at their offices or in coffee shops, pubs or at my brother's office, whichever is convenient, as I live about 30km out of town. No fancy set up, I work on my laptop - I don't like working on desktops anymore. Working hours/discipline is not really a problem - I've been working from home the past 18 years, I don't think I can handle a structured office setup anymore. Jens |

Well lets see, I have a room dedicated, to IM, along with exercise equipment. I have a wireless system for use in the media room, laptop access. I like the idea of separation, a place to live, a place to work, a place to relax, a place to sleep. I used to have a terminal setup in the bedroom, but found that I never got any sleep that way. |

I used to have an office in town about 1 minute from the house. To cut the over $1,000/month expense, I created a home office. Now my productivity is cut in half and I see that working from home can be a real drag if not done properly. TomG. |

I work in my home office, but also work in the living room at times, and enjoy working at coffee shops when I have the chance. I simply enjoy working from home, and anywhere I can get an Internet connection.

I have a small office in between my dining room and living room. Close enough to the kitchen to cook and work and close enough to the tv so that I can hear it as it babysits me.

I could only work from my office. I get distracted easily. Although the view of the Mediterranean doesn't help; I always want to go fishing.

I work at a desk in my living room. Sometimes it can be distracting, but I'm really pretty lazy and can't imagine even walking to a garden office when I want to check my email.

My home office would be in our kitchen. I don't mind though as I can work and watch the kids play in the living room right next to me. Someday I wish for an office not at home. Somewhere that I can get away to when I need some peace and quiet. |

My home office is set up in a spare bedroom. I have a desktop computer and a laptop (I use that the most). Wall-to-wall shelves with books and office supplies. Two windows looking out onto trees. But my favorite view is my big curly blonde dog sleeping on the floor in a patch of sunlight. ![]() Audre |
