Isn't WordPress a very capable platform? I am sure many members here use it. In this post, I will discuss 5 free plugins that can help you make more money:

Redirection: Redirection plugin lets you, well, create custom redirect links. While many other plugins let you do this, they do not give you complete control over link. With redirection, you can create any custom structure like mysite.com/recommended/product and mysite.com/product/ ! Must have if you use affiliate links.

Automatic SEO Links: Tired of linking all the keywords to posts/affiliate sites? Try Automatic SEO links. It will automatically link the keywords to sites you define. Only first 3 keywords are linked and you can make them nofollow! This will surely make your life easy.

Post Layout: Do not want to edit theme to insert ads in content? Here's the answer! Post Layout plugin lets you put ads into various content positions(top of post, middle, bottom etc.).

Chitika Plugin: Chitika is a great advertising network. It's plugin let's you add ads to posts without touching a single line of code!

Ads for old Posts: Lets you add ads to old posts(older than any number of days, you choose!). This way, loyal readers won't complain of too many ads in content!

Thanks for sharing some great wordpress plugins!

There are many plugins and the ones you choose should be based on your goals.

One plugin I always use is the All in 1 SEO plugin, most wordpress blogs are formatted somewhat poorly if you use the ideal format (you change the settings in All in 1 SEO) then you can increase your search engine placement.

I also like list building plugins, video plugins and call to action (comment) plugins

Well, All in One SEO is a great plugin. However, I prefer HeadSpace 2 over it. HeadSpace has all features of All In One SEO and then some more. It supports 15 tracking scripts(Analytics, Mint etc.) and can automatically hide this code for logged in users. This makes Analytics more accurate(since admins do not get counted!) It packs many other features like automatic meta-data generation and so on.

Next time you create a WP based site, you should try it out, it's amazing!

I will make more posts like this in future of list making plugins etc(with direct links!).

What' the redirection plugin you're using? I haven't found one that works right with WP 2.8x.

Just post the link as text with it broken up, for example, domainname.com /redirection-plugin

This is an interesting list of plugins that are worth noting. However,
there are several other plugins available to enhance the functionality
of Wordpress. Again, it depends on what you want to accomplish...

I agree with you. It depends upon functionality you want. For example, people who do affiliate marketing will love Redirection plugin but many others will not! Thanks for the warm welcome!

As posted on another thread, I will share a simple trick to improve SEO - change your permalink structure to:

/%category%/%postname%/

If you get your domain with your favorite keywords and add categories that also are keywords, you've doubled your SEO power with the custom permalink structure.

Great SEO trick. Of course, it can improve rankings a lot. But one must take care to change it from start. Changing structure midway can kill all SEO(due to 404s)
