Dropship Programmes

Hello Guys,
just wondering if any of you especially the guys from the UK have ever set up a drop ship program,selling on Ebay and websites,have you ever imported from China?how did you deal with import tax?were the companies used reliable?were the products ok?
i am thinking of selling electronics,mobile phones,games consoles and the like.
Your thoughts and comments will be gratefully accepted
