I made a Camtasia video and I've been trying to upload it to my site using FLV Producer. But FLV Producer requires a avi. video. The Camtasia video is an mp4.
I found a setting in Camtasia to save in avi. format and redid the video. But it still appears to be in mp4 format. How can I convert the video to something else? Is there any free software out there? I have Windows Movie Maker but I can't use it since my video card is disabled. And I can't enable it or my computer will get messed up. Long story. I have HP to thank for that. All I want to do is host the video on my website. I can't use YouTube because it's a video for paying customers. And I don't want to mark it private in YouTube and then have to give out the password to every customer. Not familair with Amazon S3 either. Although now would be a good time to learn it. Any help is appreciated. |

There isn't too much free software out there that will convert from one format to another easily. Keywords being "free" and "easily".
You can find some great tutorials at VideoHelp.com - Forum, Guides, Tools and hardware lists. But...it's techie as hell on that site. Personally, I ran into this same problem before. Someone here recommended the unlimited subscription at AVS4YOU Best multimedia software on today's market. and I took the plunge. It gives you access to ALL their various audio/video/burning/conversion software libraries for the rest of your life for a one-time $59. I can personally vouch for all their software...it rocks. The other option is to keep an eye on Giveaway of the Day - free licensed software daily. Today: TubeHoarder - TubeHoarder captures video content from your web browser so you can re-watch it without having to download it repeatedly from .... I picked up a free copy of WonderShare that is also quite good. Not as good as On2 Flix Pro...but it gets the job done. |

If you saved your project you should be able to render the video again in other formats. I made you a little video that may help.... See below
Hope this helps |
