Default The true art of selling is to sell the concept - not the product or service.

- We sell concepts and solutions.
- We fulfill desires
- We sell images, dreams, blue sky, hope for the future.
- We sell all things great and imagined that our prospect is longing for.
- We sell to people's greed for more... To their lust... To all their desires... By showing them how our items can somehow give them what they want the most!

And all people want the same basic things...
- To feel important...
- To feel loved and protected...
- To feel safe...
- To feel good about themselves.

Just some food for thought

Great food for thought.

It's funny how I can sometimes get stuck thinking about the "thing" I'm selling and not what it does for my customer.

When you back up enough, you can see the larger picture of what your product or service will do for your customer and that can completely make or break your sales message depending on how much you "get it."

Just yesterday I had an epiphany about one of my services that someone else could have seen a mile away, but I was just too close to it to see it quicker. It was the things listed in your post that made me stop and go "duh."

Things are much better now.

This is in the realm of business philosophy and while it might be fun on some level to think about its actually a waste of time.

Bottom Line: Who cares whether you sell the concept or the product/ service as long as you make the sale?

The concept of marketing holds that achieving organizational goals depends on determining the needs and wants of target markets and delivering the desired satisfactions more effectively and efficiently than competitors do. Selling the concept pushes emotional triggers whereas a product is just that... are you claiming that you don't sell benefits on your sales pages?

There's a time and place for everything. I've been in business for 20+ years and just getting started with an obsession of learning, growing and spreading the love. This is the year to breakout...and it's just getting started! What's impossible to resist is truly helping folks get to a better place than where they are and where they want to go...that space in between is a magical moment. And it is so easy when you don't have lotions, potions, or pills to sell! There are 2 vital components of any business you absolutely must evaluate to know if you have any chance of success.

Did I mention anything about benefits?

All I am saying is who cares about what the "true art" actually is as long as you see the *green*
