Hey,

Well their are many hosting companies, try Hostgator, Thinkhost or other ones that you can find. I think these are probably the best ones, oh try Bluehost as well.

Hope this helps!

I don't think hostgator or bluehost takes paypal!

Or do they?

GoDaddy accepts PayPal. That's where I buy my domains.

I hear good things about HostGator and BlueHost for hosting.

They both accept PayPal as well (I just checked).

Hey,

Yea of course they accept PayPal, and I think Hostgator even accepts unverified PayPal for those of you who aren't verified just yet Hostgator has probably the best uptime, some of the months are actually 100% uptime, I have checked their statistics.

So, these are my personal choices for ages and I am VERY happy with them.

- DOMAINS: Namecheap in a heart beat.
- HOSTING: KnownHost. Actually, they are not very "known", but their service is excellent. Usually my tickets are answered in less than 30 minutes. Competitive prices, too.

Hey,

I would say Hostgator has the best support, they have a live chat feature, so you can chat with them anytime you want. Hope this helps!

Hostgator takes paypal for hosting. 1and1 (and probably others) takes paypal for domains.

Hostgator definitely does accept PayPal. Namecheap also definitely does accept PayPal, and unlike GoDaddy they are easy to navigate.

Hostgator support techs spent more than 30 minutes on the phone with me several times when I was just learning Wordpress (that was a couple of years ago, but their quality of support remains consistent). They're sitting on the phones in Houston, TX, they know their stuff, they're patient, their up time is close to 100% and they're accessible 24/7. Can't get better than that!

Nice! Now the second question, is how long will it take to point the name servers over and everything like that?

Cheers!

Hostmonster accepts Paypal, and their domains are $10 with privacy included.

They advertise a support response time of under 2 minutes.

This is what I always use (Both accept paypal):

1 and 1 for domains
Hostgator for hosting

Been doing this for a couple years now and have had no problems.

Enjoy!

All I can say is NEVER use 1and1. I got a domain and hosting through them recently and my site went down a few days later. I notified them and they said they would fix it, over a week later it's still down. I tried to cancel my domain and hosting with them several times and their cancellation page doesn't even work, it's almost like it's made to not work. They are a horrible company, for hosting anyway

Wow, sounds like your user experience sucked.

I hate that, when their cancel systems go down.

I myself have had a alright experience with bluehost.

I just want to try something a little better.
Never got a domain with godaddy, but I always use them to search
for available domains. They seem like they have good support (24-7)
Call center, and thats would I would look for in a hosting company as well.

Just search for 'hosting and domains' in google and you will find several sources or places from where to buy domains.

Same problem here.

I don't have a credit card and I believe I got into problems with hostgator when trying to pay.. that was about 1 year ago.

In the end I went with lunarpages - no problems so far + good costumer support.

I buy domains @ namecheap. Godaddy wouldn't accept my paypal without credit card.
