Using free giveaway sites to build op-tin list

Dose any one here use free giveaway sites to help build their lists? is this a good list building method?

    I assume you're referring to giveaway "events" where a bunch of marketers contribute a product to be given away and people have to sign up to each marketer's list to get their gift.

    If so, yes, it is a good way to build your list, but these giveaways tend to be in the IM niche only. There have been a few in other niches (that I know of) but 99% are in the IM niche, so if you're not in the IM niche then it wouldn't benefit you.

    As well, they seem to be losing their effectiveness because there have been so many of them.

      "free giveaway sites" means free web site templates?

      Or free sites hosted under your website?

      Any free giveaway can be used to develop opt-in list. But try to get targeted list.

    If you mean give-away event's, then I agree with Denise. Give-away event are usually only for IM niche or Make $ niche (can be offline). Haven't really found any such such for other niches like weight lose, exercise, golf etc.

    Do let me know if you find out there is such.

    Yeah it is a good way of building a list. It takes time though so don't let that out you off.

    They are a very good way to build a big list fast.

    But please note this, the value of that list will be lower.
    Most of the people who optin to your list did so at lightning speed. They just want to get in there and download as much stuff that they like and get out.

    So don't think if you build a list of 1000 or more that it would be the same as having a list of 1000 people who where super targeted towards your offering.

    With those events it's a numbers game.
