Hi Everyone, I am looking to buy a screen capture program for mac. I know there are a couple out there so I wanted to find out from an Internet Marketing perspective which one is preferred. Also something that is important I am looking for a program that is going to be very easy to use and figure out. Thanks, Eric |

If you are running QuickTime 10.0 then it is very easy to create a video and there are options for export. Apple - QuickTime Of course you could always fork out $99 for Camtasia for Mac ... James | |

I've used Jing in the past. The only problem is the 5 minute limit but it might be worth a try.

Check out "ScreenFlow" for the Mac as well - it's been out longer than Camtasia and seems to be more feature complete (compared with the Mac version of Camtasia, that is). But I agree - I use Jing and Quicktime for most things since it's just so much faster and easier. Ronnie |

Uh, you can do a screen capture on Mac by pressing command shift 3 [all at once - it goes on your desktop] and also you can click and drag to select the portion of screen if you press command shift 4 space bar [all at once - it also goes on your desktop] Hope this helps, Dot |

I've used iShowU for the Mac to capture what's happening on the screen and then dumped that file into iMovieHD where it can be edited. You can also generate graphics, titles, and special effects in the iMovieHD. Works pretty well.

Here is a great screen cast of Camtasia VS Screen Flow for MAC. My vote Screen Flow because you can select the area of the screen you want recorded which as far as I know you can not do with Camtasia for MAC. Plus being that Screen Flow is well versed in MAC and Camtasia is new to MAC I think they must be more seasoned. Just my take. Here is a video - Google search: "Video Review – Camtasia For Mac : Web Video University Blog"

Screenflow gets my vote. Camtasia is great for PC and I struggled with thinking of switching to another software when I bought my Macbook Pro and I was very excited to see how easy to use ScreenFlow was and more importantly was how killer the videos turned out when I was done recording. Screenflow all the way! :-) -Chris |
