How Much Commission Do I Ask For?

I am working with someone and want to work out a commission per sale structure. They have created all the product and will handle fulfillment. All I will do is promote the product through their site and social media.

How do I determine what commission rate to ask for? I'm not sure what is fair. Obviously I want as much as I can get, but at the same time I want to be fair.

Can anyone help me out? The niche is real estate flipping.

I would suggest at least 60% commission. The reason is that it doesn't matter how great of a product it is, if no one sees it then there will be no sales.

In my opinion, about 90% of the IM battle is getting eyes on your offer.

Although you don't say, I am assuming that this is a digital product that the buyer will download. So I would follow the leader of that type of business, which I believe is Clickbank. Affiliates get a minimum of 25% to a maximum of 75% of the price after Clickbank takes their cut. The vast majority of products seem to offer 75%, which is what saneeb suggests.

I would suggest that anything less than 50% would leave you on the short end as until the sale happens, there is nothing. Getting the prospect to the sales letter is most of the battle, so that suggests to me that 60% to 70% is a minimum, in my opinion.

Of course, my opinion has little value to the vendor, so it comes down to what they would be willing to pay. But I have given you my thoughts on the subject and I would fight for that or pass.

Ya definetly around 65% to 70% because like winebuddy says, " doesn't matter how great of a product it is, if no one sees it then there will be no sales.'
