Ezinearticles.com content writing tips?

Hi there
It seems I would like to know how do you marketers make your articles not sound like either affiliate marketing related articles or you are trying to advertise something. I know I can do the usual review of a product or solve a problem for someone, but are their key gotchas I should be aware before submitting articles to EzineArticles.com? Are there any red herrings I should avoid in my articles? I would like to get them approved right away on the first approval step instead of rewriting them? Waiting a week for each corrected article could take months at the rate i am going.

Thanks for any tips and making this site my #1 source of learning.

Yeah, EZA doesn't want KWDs over 1% now. The title is all important. Don't tell too much. Your goal isn't to give free information, it is to get them to click your link to learn more. Do a Google search before writing your article for the keywords you want to go for. Look at the other EZAs and figure out why they rank well.

Thanks. I have a general knowledge on all this. I guess I am trying to figure out what dead giveaways is EzineArticles looking for to consider an article to be an advertisement. I am sure it could the link in your resource box, but is there any keywords or keyphrases they would be looking for that would consider it too promotional or outside of their terms of use.

  • Check your spelling and grammar carefully before submitting. A minor mistake could mean having to wait for everything to be rechecked. Split long sentences into short ones where possible. Use paragraphs. Use the summary box to give a concise summary including short versions of any recommendations (don't just copy the first four sentences).

May I ask why some say that EZA won't accept articles with keyword density of over 1%? Just wondering, cuz they have accepted my articles with 2%-3% keyword density.

Was it a recent change in the rules?

This question and similar ones are rampant in this forum and they drive me nuts.........

When you write an article.......write it for someone live to read it, learn from it, and want to know more about the subject. Google's rules change over time - but people's aren't going to change their want to read real content - they want to read good material. They don't click links when the content is just stuck together for SEO - and there isn't any way around that, Search Engines aren't going to buy your products. People who need content for their own sites are not going to post trash even if it has keywords in it.

    Write a good article. Period.

      I agree.

Don't sell to the search engines - sell to your target audience. If you write for Google, you'll become a slave to keeping up with every little change they make to the algorithm. Not fun.
