Can anybody explain what the point is in searching google adwords keyword tool in `Broad` search ?

Hi guys,
Can anybody explain to me what the point of searching under `broad` search in google A K T ???

Why not just search under `exact` as when examaining your keyword you what to know the exact number of searches to see if the keyword is worth using ..dont you ?

    Well, if you are searching for general SEO purposes (outside of running an adwords campaign) Using a Broad search will let you see exactly how many website have the words you are searching for within them.

    If you use an exact search, it will show you how many websites are actually targeting the same key search phrase. (This will be your true competition)

    You can take it one step further by searching in title, this will let you see how many websites have the search phrase in the title.

    Sometiems I use broad search just to get a quick Scope, if the broad search is less then a million, then I will do an exact phrase search to see what my true comp will be.

      Yes i understand this but i`m talking about the number of `searches` for that keyword not the number of competing websites.
