Both displaying perfectly in the latest version of Firefox (and looking good).

There's also a useful site here which shows you how things look in other browsers.

Both display well.

If you may, I have a few thoughts based upon looking at your sourcecode.

Note that I randomly picked one of your posts in your insatiablegardner.com blog, so things may be different on the other site.

(1) I would suggest that you SEO the header tags. It appears that the Wordpress default header tag format is in place, which isn't ideal. The issue is that the category headings on the right all have H2 headings (except for the featured video which is an H3 I believe). Basically you are telling google that words like "archives" "blogroll" and "admin" are very important to the content of your page

I would suggest that these header tags for these items be either H4-H6, or no header tag at all. That way, your title and other header tags will get the pre-eminence that they deserve.

If you google search stuff like "wordpress changing h2 widget tags" and stuff like that you will find info on how to change it. There is a proper coding way to do it, or you can just do like I do and change H2 to H5 in the relevant spots in the php and css files ;-)

I hate the header logo......you should have a pro one done.

on the photography site you want to make sure that the pictures are cropped to be a square. As it it it looks like they are rectangle but are being automatically resized so they're all warped. Doesn't look very professional.

I'd fill in the white space on the right. Having it just end abruptly while the blog posts continues makes it look incomplete to me.

On the gardening site, the text is really hard to read over the picture.

Most of your tag cloud words are about half this size and in light gray which makes them pretty near impossible to read.

ETA - i just clicked on your tag cloud and I see now that it's some fancy spinny globe thing. Looks cool but not a fan of it functionally because, as I said, most of the words can't be seen which means people won't use it that often.

I would change the background of the google ads in your header so it matches because it looks weird with the big white box.

Other than that, I like the layouts, colors, etc of both sites.

PS: Most people who click on a tag called "pot plant" are not going to have lilys and glads in mind so you might want to re-think that tag.

I've now set the height at 200px in css and made the width auto. That way it keeps its original aspect ratio and reduce the warping (apart from what may be in the original images). Thanks for that.

um...the one that has the text over it. the very first picture you see has text that rises over it. i'm assuming it's a description associated with the picture but I couldn't read it so I really have no idea.

honestly all of the moving stuff you have going on is a turn off for me. i leave sites like that. if I want things to move i like to move them. I don't like things that move automatically.
