Warriors, I need your advice/opinion on an offer I have received for one of my sites. Since May 2009, I own a weight loss website, which has been generating $750 on average each month without doing much (95% autopilot). I have received various offers but one person is offering me 5 months worth of income for my site (that's $3,750). Should I accept this offer and sell my website? thanks in advance. |

Why would you want to sell a website that is generating so much income for you per month when in less than a year you would have doubled what you're offered. (Or am I missing something here) Kim Quote:

ahh Personally if I had a site that made me that much a month practically on automatic pilot, then I'd be inclined to tweak it and see if I can squeeze more out of it. (Your obviously doing something right) I definitely wouldn't get rid of it. but again that's just me. If I did, I think I'd want a lot more than what is offered Kim |

I would go for it. As long as nothing keeps you from duplicating its success, ie. you could recreate all its successful elements and do the same thing again on a similar domain, and if you need the money, do it. George |

Keep the website, take a loan of $3500 against the equity and earnings and in 5 months you'll pay off the loan have $3500 and still have the website! AHA! |

if I were you I wont take that chance, because the site already have there potential,it only take small effort to reduce the autopilot to manual pilot until you can get the same amount that they offer add to your pocket without you have to lost the precious site

If you're an advanced site flipper, then you should know its worth already. I would personally like a 10 - 12 month income as the website price. If you're an internet marketer then you should keep it and develop it more and more till it becomes a real authority. I'm sure you can make 5k - 6k a month with time. So, it's just your choice. Since I'm a site flipper, I would've sold it for $7500 - $10000 and bought another established website to develop. That's just my opinion. What really matters is how you want to do business. |

Depends on your situation. If you need the money bad then sell it fast. Or try to get other offers for more as mentioned. I would only sell it off fast if I had to pay the rent, otherwise I would try to grow it till its making more money so I can sell it for more. Mike |

With that kind of income coming in, it seems that it would be foolish to sell it. It seems in this case your website is worth far more than you were offered for it. You are in a great position. I would just hold on to it. | |

I would keep the site sense you know you can make money constantly with it and take the time to find other ways to build on it to make even more money. The hardest part is over, making a constant dollar. Why give a potential gold mine up?

I appreciate your opinions very much. I am not in need of the money, but that's the top offer I have received so far and I wanted to know what would you do in my position. thanks again |

I wouldn't sell the site. If your making an income on your without doing much then I'd stick with it, unless I'd got an offer too good to turn down.

It really depends on whether you need the money immediately. If you're wanting instant gratification then you might want to sell it. However, 5 months revenue seems paltry compared to sites I have bought and sold in the past. Although your site is relatively new, usually you go off of earnings multiples (i.e. 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, etc.). In your particular case, you're not even being offered a 1-year multiple = $9,000. The website aside, it's really a matter of how you approach your finances and what you could do with the money, or if you need it right away. If someone walked up to me and told me that I could have $750 per month for the next few years (maybe more, maybe less) or take a lump sum of $3,750 I would choose the monthly $750 hands-down. Not only are you not forfeiting the potential earnings, but you're getting rid of an income base in the process. |

it all depends on if you think this site is tied to a fad. If it is a fad take the money and run. If it is not keep it IMO.
