I spent what felt like weeks getting my head around how to create a video. I finally did it last week. Thanks to many warrior heads who posted anything about creating video's. I read, read and re-read stuff. I actually wanted to do it with free software so I could go through all the steps. Its not the most flash of video's but it got me over the psychological hurdle. I can now focus on making the content funky and fun because I've walked through the process. This is what I did Open Office Impress slides Camstudio to record and add audio any video converter to convert avi to mp4 uploaded onto youtube So take heart any of you newbies who think they cant get their head around it, YOU CAN. It was such a relief. Yah for Warrior Forum ... |

Taking the first step in doing something new is always the hardest - so congratulations on getting your first video done. I'm sure you'll now get the bug to produce more. What I found exciting was to check periodically to see how many views my videos were getting. And I was really pleased when I had people signing up to be notified when I released new videos. |

The hardest part about doing a video is getting it done and posting it. From now on each video will get easier and easier. You just added a very important tool to your virtual tool box. Your videos will get better and better. Onward and upward. albert grande |

I think Videos can be really fun. The slide / screen capture method is a good one. Animoto.com is fun for shorter promo videos. You upload the images, select music from their stock selection, then hit create video. Then it goes and animates the slides to the beat of the music. They come out really nice. |

I've actually got MS Presentation but wanted to do the whole thing using freely available apps & software. Hence my choice of Impress >> I got that tip from Warrior Forum originally. As always, the journey was about understanding the language of what other people where writing. Once I cracked that, i found it easy to get around it in my head. This stuff is like learning to ride a bike really ... nobody can give you "balance" in order to ride, its just a matter of knowing that all the pieces will come together in your mind at some point. |
