Just curious to know How Do Your Prefer The WSOs? e-book / audio / video I prefer video because it is a better learning process. I lose track in audios and there is just too much e-books in my PC. ![]() What about you? |

It depends on the person I guess, but personally I like to watch something as I think it's quicker and easier to learn but again thats just my opinion others could prefer to print out an ebook and read it.

eBook every time for me. It takes to long to download and watch a video and I like to skip all the waffle in the beginning.

I prefer both ebook and video, and when I offer my WSO, and if it's a book then I put detailed screenshots in it so that it would be more understandable for those who want to implement the methods.

It would be nice to have them in all three. It's also nice for the person releasing the WSO coz then he could charge a higher price for the extra effort. Put a nice package graphics in there (cd covers, ebook covers, box covers) and it will be 100% more enticing to buy the product. All Success! Omar Diaz |

Hi there, I like to get both video and an ebook. I'm not much fussed about audio as I don't listen to things on the go. I like video because you can see what people are doing. I don't like video which is badly produced - I've seen some where you can barely see the person speaking and there's a lot of background noise. There's been others where they've had smart focus on it and the screen is zooming in and out so much it makes you se sick. I like a book because I can skim through a book very quickly and find the bits that are of interest. It's quicker to refer back to because you can do searches on words and quickly find the section you are looking for. Video is irritating for this as you can spend ages jumping around trying to find the right section. The majority of my products / WSO's tend to be a combination of video / e-books for this reason. I think it is a good learning combination. I would do audio as well, but it's a lot of effort to record an audio version of a book and just ripping the audio of a video doesn't work when you are demonstrating something. An audio of "Now you need to click here and then you will see this screen, and if you look down in the bottom left hand corner you'll see this advert" is frankly irritating ![]() All the best to you Jason |

Personally if I'm creating a product I always create an ebook/script then add some videos and audio for bonuses, it's always good to give the customer more than they have paid for ![]() Ben |

I also prefer a combination of ebook and video. Ebooks can be easily printed off and read anywhere. It is also easier to quickly find a particular piece of info by quickly flicking through a printed pdf. However, I dislike printing off ebooks that are more than about 70 pages. If there is detailed step-by-step info then I prefer it to be presented in a video that shows all of the steps being taken. The big disadvantage of video is that you need to watch the entire video to get all the info - you cannot skim through it as you can a printed document. Also too many videos are over-long with a considerable amount of 'padding'. |

Ebook for me - I've never really liked video and audio. My time is limited and I like to be able to quickly scan through a pdf and pick out the information I need. For anyone who MUST do video please make them short (no longer than 10-15 minutes each) and offer a pdf as well.

Video for me. But, as others have said, only if the person immediately gets to the point. The same problem happens in ebooks where the writer gives their background info, and the history of the topic, etc. I always want Step 1. How do I do it? I want to immediately go to the first step with no intro at all. Paul |

As for me, ebook is the best :> You can stop whenever you want and all you have to do is memorize the page where you stop... thats it... And when you ready to continue, just go to the page, and continue read your favorite ebook :> |

My strong impression is that, overall, marketers like videos and customers don't. Of course, if you ask marketers what they prefer as customers, you may not get that impression. But the answer you get will doubtless be the right one for a WSO. ![]() Ultimately, the answer to "what people prefer" comes from split-testing, I suppose.

Meh I agree but at the same time would say that a printed document ALONG with video is always a cake-stealer. I love being able to read about something and then be able to SEE it put into action. Maybe that's just me though...

I prefer the written word, so ebooks are my choice as a consumer. Maybe I'm just old school. But I do find it much easier to get a quick overview of the subject and zoom in on the segments of personal interest. I like to print them out and take them with me too. Being able to go back and review material a second time is faster when the material is provided in written form. Huge time saver for me over an audio or video series. One of the things I think is lacking from many videos I've seen is a clear focus on delivering quality information in short, juicy bits. If I don't get it early, I tend to move on. Robert |

I never ever watch videos, I prefer pdf's, and I also don't mind an audio on my mp3 player when I take my dog for a run. I believe my disinterest in videos isn't the norm, though.

E-Book only unless there is a genuine reason why a video would be necessary - eg, something that can't be easily explained in words and needs a visual cue (eg technical setups, physical interaction with equipment etc).

I'm into video right now. I like just sitting back and watching and learning. I am in the process of launching 6 different videos courses pretty soon. So not only do I love learning from video I love selling it. I only sell high quality camtasia video courses. I'm convinced people love video! Mike |

I agree with Kent. Multiple formats. However...I must say, I barely listen to audios. They make me fall asleep. Videos are number 1 in my books. |

I prefer eBook PDF. It's so much easier to go though and marks sections of interest. Videos should only supplement the PDF file in most cases. Of course there are exceptions. Most videos are so slow getting to the point, then its hard to find and re-watch something later. I usually give up on them. In fact I think it's only fair to warn the potential customer if it's only video. I been burnt that way before. Just my opinion... Lambert |

I'm on Hughes.net (Snooze.net) satellite broadband which limits daily bandwidth. Watching videos is not possible, so pdf. If it's a video product, I don't even read the sales letter.

My 2cents. Ebook and videos are great. Allow me to print out the ebooks to review on paper at my own pace. Then provide videos showing the procedure in detail. This is a stellar combination. Frank |

Whilst most marketers find videos the easiest to produce (and - let's face it - we as customers have grown accustomed to receiving vids of quite mediocre quality without complaint), there is one drawback that I've found if you only produce vids. I have found that a significant percentage of my customers are not native English speakers and therefore email me to say that they cannot understand my British accent! They require a pdf that duplicates the video content so that they can grasp what is being verbally explained on the video. The same problem must also be true for mp3s |

LOL I am American and couldn't understand a video with a Brithish accent. BTW there are several learning types such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic and more. Some people prefer one over the other. So if you can, it would make it easier for your customers to learn if you could include various ways. Lambert |

hate videos. hate audios. well, sometimes I like videos. Occasionally. Rarely. Provide me with a transcript (with time markers would be even better.) What i like is terse, easy to follow, step-by-step, no nonsense material. It really depends on what is being taught in the product (if it aims to teach anything). Audio forces me to take notes which embeds the info in my melon. If the material covers tactics, it's good to see them in action. eBooks are great for following a long and also looking ahead to see if the goal of the sales pitch ever gets met ;-) As John Taylor said...mindmaps. These work great to oversee the whole process. I need to map things out to take DIRECTED action. I don't care for the whole "absorb my product, try to figure out my process, implement it and pray you achieve the results I claim you might" No thanks! Just like so many that have gone before us have said..."tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them the stuff and then tell them what you told them" So, all of the above choices (even if they are offered at different price points) is the way to go. |

Personally, I prefer written text (.pdf ebook and similar) because I read very fast and process the information best if I see it written down - but that's totally irrelevant when it comes to marketing... You need to to know your target market and their literacy level. Recently, the results of a survey regarding the literacy levels in the "debeloped (OECD) countries" have been published here: Adult Literacy The literacy is measured on a scale of one to five: Quote:
So, I think it is not about marketers loving the videos. It is about "readers" not being able to comprehend a written text... and they will always prefer a video rather then a complicated text
