How you get started in the I.M. a.k.a 'Make Money Online' ?

Recently, I try to think back what I have missed & gained in my past internet marketing experience, as much as I can think of...this question start to prompt to my mind...

Before I start to explore myself into the 'internet marketing world', I just hopping around to look for some biz opps and wish I can start a part-time biz or get off my 'day job'...

then one day..i saw a newspaper advertisement that promote an internet marketing seminar and it's quite promising for what I want in the mind (as you know the copywriter did a good job) ...

after attended the seminar...my I.M journey never turned back and unstoppable to keep my curious mind to know more about this 'new world'...but I never regret for that...

How about you? Do you have the similar story?

my opinion is that you cannot get into the "make money online" market until you have MADE MONEY ONLINE.

Once you have a few good sites up that are cranking cash in a niche or two, then and only then can you begin to instruct others in "How I made $1 million online".

That being said... You can still market services and products that teach specific techniques like SEO or article writing. And I think you could market these services as long as you can show that you have had some success doing it.

Just my opinion - I am sure there will be those that disagree.

      Yes, like me

I dont entirely disagree with you.

To me, it all depends on what you are marketing.

I don't see a problem with diverting to an expert (maybe through PLR, or resell rights)
as long as you don't say you are the one with all the success.

When I first started marketing online, I got into the make money online niche.

I gave away some products I had acquired the rights to so I can build my list,
then I told my list about other more successful people that can help them.

THEN, when I achieved some success, that is when I started teaching other
      people what I had learned.

Being that I don't know everything and still have lots to learn, I still divert
to the expert whenever necessary. (AKA affiliate promotions)

      Hope this helps

This can be true in some ways...after learning and trying a lots of I.M. stuffs..this year I just started to apply the I.M. skill into the offline business world..becoming a local internet marketing consultant.

Surprised me that there is a lot of my local small businesses still don't know what is the effective way to set up an email marketing campaign. Suddenly I also became an expert in the I.M. niche without really made big money online

I started with a personal page, and sold it for $350 at the age of 18. That was one of the best days of my life.

I understood that even that s*itty page would sell for $350. I started adsense, studied WSO and learned PHP, MySQL. Created a script (blackhat) and sold licenses worth 2k in 2 months and sold the main site for 15k.

After all these, I joined this forum and I developed my skills at C#. I simply try to help other marketers with the best I can offer.

start to learn the marketing aspect of the business rather than the technical know how
on how to upload files to a website etc.

a Marketing/business mindset is much more important than the technical know..

It is what I have learned through my journey to become a business
person rather than a technical person.

Learn BOTH because no matter if it's marketing or technical know-how,
you can make a lot of money by providing your specialized knowledge
to those that are seeking it.

One of the biggest reasons why people quit marketing online before they
see any success is because of the technical aspects.

Maybe to you and me it's easy to upload a file to our website, but most people are TERRIFIED of it.

So knowing BOTH will only help you.

Napoleon Hill talks about "specialized knowledge" extensively in his "Think and Grow Rich"
and said it is the fastest way to become rich.

If anyone seeing this post hasn't read that book yet, I highly recommend you do
or listen to the audio version while you drive your car wherever you drive it.
