Guidance On OutSourcing To The Phillipines

I have used rentacoder.com for sometime now, however the problem I have is having to explain what I require every single time and having to go thru the same quality control issues constantly...not a viable way for growing a business

I am bringing some new products to market and require stuff like:

* Install wordpress, change the theme, create a page, make a squeeze page, hook up to
my aweber a/c etc

*Create photoshop graphic...headers etc

* Write code to make specific things happen on my sites, etc.

I remember hearing somewhere about outsourcing to the Phillipines and would like to know some sites to check for this sort of work and how best I might want to train employees who are so far away, etc, so that I get maximum productivity.

Really Grateful for guidance/suggestions

I don't know much about it myself. But through OfflineBiz I've heard of this guy John Jonas who is apparently an expert on outsourcing to the Philippines. He shows you how to do everything from start to finish.

I'm going to sign up with him once my business grows a little more. I'm new to the forum so I can't paste a link. Just Google "replace myself" and it should be the #1 result.

    Hopefully that helps.

    Hi captain kirk

i have come across many on here and elsewhere your best bet is to hire someone for a small task and if they do a great job hire them for more work and build your relationship up from there.

I have a guy from brazil that does all my major outsourcing work and he does a wonderful job and i found him in the warriors for hire section. There is someone on here called ed though that advertises on the classifieds section. he/she is very slow and what i could do in a day will take their team 6 days so it depends how quick you want the job done.

    kind regards

Yep if you are hiring them yourself then you do need to do some sort of 'quality check' which can take time.

I only hire from company's and pay that little bit extra on top for someone to manage them all for me and pre-train them etc etc.... Actually part of one now but thats a whole different ball game.

It really depends what your looking for too... im guessing its full or part time work for a longer period of time and a wide variety of assistant type tasks.

I personally outsource my graphics separately although my assistant can do graphics slightly but they just take a while, But everything else isn't a problem.

      Good luck head hunting!

        Thx Tom,

Just found this great thread here @ WF on outsourcing John Jonas from ReplaceMyself.com?

I think I have it sorted in my mind now:

*Someone to manage wordpress, seo, simple programming maybe

        *Someone to write copy

And get graphics done on an as needs basis.

        My experience is different.

I used AOV and I found that that 'little bit extra' easily doubles a persons cost, and it does that on a monthly bases. If I pay 400 or 800 per month per person is quite a difference in the long run.

So spending a few more hours in the beginning to hire someone directly saves a lot of money.

When hiring from companies there is also no guarantee that you will get a well trained and capable person and most likely they are not trained as well as you'd like them to be. For example I had a so called 'full time writer' with AOV, but he delivered only 1500 words of rewriting existing articles per day. So in the end he was more expensive than hiring a US writer.

What I do is contact lots of people at once, make the entry somewhat uncomfortable (giving them something complicated on day 1) and see who actually sticks.

I need to contact 10 to 20 people to find a reliable one. That's not so bad, if I would hire someone in my own country the rate would probably be the same.

This free recorded webinar not only gives you the
resources but tells you how to get around some
    roadblocks:

For example, some Philippine job sites now only
allow Filipinos to access them. The webinar tells
you how to get around that.
