Product Creation Questions

Hey Guys,

I'm currently working on a new product

My initial thought was to do Audio Interviews and
then get them Transcribed offering Audio and Pdf's

The Other option is to Just send them the questions
and have them answer by email and create a special
Report with No Audios

So which do you Prefer as a Product ...

Audio's with PDF Transcripts or just Pdfs?

and what about perceived value?

Product A - Six Hours of Audio Interviews on
a Subject you want to know about + PDF
Transcripts

What is this worth? $27 / $47 / $77 / $97 / other

Product B - One Big Ebook with Information
from 6 Experts on a Subject you want to know
about

What is this worth? $27 / $47 / $77 / $97 / other

Obviously its a lot less work and expense to simply
send the questions and get them answered by email

But I want to create Extreme value in this product

so what do ya think?

Hopefully this thread will help other product
creators as well

Jack

I think audios with transcripts have more value. But I would also put together the transcripts into one master eBook and have it part of the package.

people can burn CDs of the audio and listen to in their car, etc or download to MP3 players.

    just my opinion

That was my thought as well

I like to listen to Audios while working , in car and I especially like to
feed some good info into my head when I go to sleep

Product A sounds much better with a pricing of $47-$67 tops.

    Here is another suggestion:

Give the audios away for free, but as an OTO or Upsell, offer more
insight into what was revealed during those interviews.

You know, make actual sense of what your experts were saying
by breaking each audio down to help your listener understand
    the content better.

Maybe make camtasia videos and mind maps or something.

    Hope this helps

Ok ... here is another thought

a couple of the people I am talking to would prefer to
      do written interviews

So another thought is to take The Written Interviews
and read then and make like an Audio Book

the only problem with that is I have a Heavy Brooklyn
accent and nobody will understand me :0)

I would definitely have to say audio. When I take my daughter and dog for a stroll, that's when I'm in education mode with audio. It's just easier. For me at least.

The added pdf's are always nice for reference and added value.

Price? I can't imagine why you can't build the value to what you want. I know that's vague, but find a way a way to show people that what you're giving them is worth the price you want to get for it (more than worth it actually) and you can both give and get great value.

I'd say don't be too shy on the price if you've got a winner there!

I like the idea of combining audio with PDF transcripts, too, but the value of the product mostly depends on the content and the market. If it's of sufficient value and the market can afford it you can command a higher price. If you price it too high for what it's worth to them, you may get a bad response. This is why testing is such an important component of the marketing process.

    Jack,

Steve Fulman recently created a product and provided video, pdf transcription (nicely cleaned up so it read well) and mp3's for those of us that learn while driving.

In his case the videos were essential. Not so much in your situation.

That the transcripts had been edited to flow smoothly was a major plus.
