Well, I've been on the hunt this morning for some more places to upload a video to and the TOS on some of these sites seems to be narrowing it down for me:

if a Posting originates from you or your User ID, you hereby agree that:
(a) you are placing the Posting in the public domain without reservation of any rights or further control over the Posting or its use and you specifically authorize the SPIKE Network and Affiliates to use such Posting in whole or in part, throughout the universe, and you are automatically granting SPIKE Digital Entertainment, Inc. and Affiliates a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, unrestricted, unconditional, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, edit, adapt, create derivative works from, translate, distribute, perform, display and otherwise exploit such Posting and all elements thereof alone or as part of other works in any form, media, or technology, whether now known or hereafter developed or discovered, and to license and sub-license such rights through multiple tiers of sub-licenses, all without any notification or obligation to you, of compensation, attribution or otherwise;
I used some music that I purchased to use on my own works, but have no permission to offer up public domain usage.

I will probably go into garage band now and scramble to create an alternative version of background music.

Anyway, just a warning to others that when you are signing up to these other sites to submit your materials to be sure to check the TOS. It's getting a bit nutty out there.

    the quote was if a Posting originates from you or your User ID, you hereby agree that:

    That is *******STANDARD FARE*******! You IMPLY consent by posting on ANY third party site, such as this (under the expectation of privacy doctrine). Although the last part
    "license and sub-license such rights through multiple tiers of sub-licenses, all without any notification or obligation to you" is a stretch, and may not even be legal, many sites DO have the other parts in their TOS, to state the obvious. Basically, it is saying that if you post something HERE, for example(assuming Allen left this in, as it is probably a default), then others can see it, it can move it, and may use it elsewhere, etc....

    But you have NO expectation of privacy, so it is generally assumed you ARE putting it in the public domain.
