Default Keyword Research

Hi,

I am trying to get a better undersatanding of keyword research however whenever I research the keywords I am not sure how to interpret the keywords that are generated on the list.

Does anyone know what is a good number of serches I should be looking for for a keyword to tell if it is too broad or to narrow?

Does anyone know of any good training on how to do keyword research and what the search resulsts really mean? Thanks in advance

You should check out this site run by StevenR:
Watch This Video | supersimpleblogging.com

It's free and will answer your questions.

You want to have at least 1300-1600 searches a month on you keywords. And less that 50,000 competing websites. The videos from the link above goes into much better detail, check them out.
