Promoting a Contest!

Who can help me out? My company is going to be holding a holiday contest. I was wondering what would be the best way to go about gettting the word out? I would really like to reach as many people as possible. I am posting it on our Facebook and Twitter page(only have 20 followers) right now. We are also looking into doing a prweb but besides that how else could we reach thousands of people? Please help us out some of you may even want to join in helping us spread the word.

Facebook ads will get you huge results.

Also find the contest people on twitter. EG Carolyn Wilman (ContestQueen) on Twitter

Make sure they get your contest tweets.

Also search for contest forums and blogs. No shortage of those

Target a few groups of people and spend a little cash to run ads putting fans on your Facebook page. After that it's all you - put out updates - promote your contest and hopefully the viral effect will take off.

That's the quick and dirty. Once you get started it's not too hard.
