Word of mouth. Like how a joke is told - I tell it to you, you tell a couple of people, etc. The joke spreads like a virus - person to person. If I have a good plumber and I later have a friend how asks if I know a good plumber, I recommend them. ST |

sadly it is this... a cute kitten pic that gets sent to millions of office types and they all send it to their buddies... BUT it seems to not work on your CUTE pdf that nobody seems to want for free. having moaned about that, i am busy doing a bunch of cartoons that will be usable on blogs with a tiny url at the bottom. i am hoping that will become viral. if not try a competition. |

Viral Marketing is a method of marketing where the originator spreads his original content like eBooks or softwares freely throughout the whole market. Because within his works contains information that will be promoting his/her other products, it works both ways for the consumer and the producer. Moreover, due to its "free" nature, it tend to get spread around easily and quickly like wildfire. Thus the term Viral Marketing was coined. I hope that is good enough a definition for ya.. Edmund  |

This how quickly swine flu spread accross the planet, one person passing the virus to another. Now if you can create a free report, ebook, video course, anything really that has value but is given away for free with a licence that allows the person your giving it to pass it on for free and so on and so on. Then that product will spread just like a virus, thus = Viral marketing. Important note: it must be something of value and worth passing on, humour works well but being in the internet marketing business I tend to find video tutorials work best. Chuck in a few affiliate links and your free viral product can make you quite a bit of money and even build your mailing list if you stick an auto-responder in there. Regards, |
