and now for the problem i joined this list last christmas and apart from the free ebook i signed up for originally as at the time i was checking out jv giveaways this is the first contact i have had.

They have waited since November last year to email me with any offers whatsoever. No wonder they have placed the unsubscribe details at the top as they cant possibly have any relationship going with this list.

i actually contacted them about it and they said that the reason why they left it so long is because they were told that their list must be 2,500 in size before they will make even a single sale from it.

I am totally gobsmacked - yes you wont make a large income from a smaller list but you will get sales from lists of 100+ and the whole point for me is building up a good relationship with my list and offering them value. Just imagine how many unsubscribes this guy is going to get most people will do so because they dont remember joining and think its a spammer.

So how long have you waited from signing up for a freebie to getting an email back?

Well it is nice to know that you will get 2 or 3 prl products per month.

Why would they ever think about saying they would freeze membership a 250 until some members dropped out .

Should have just said " will be adding a new member every time an old member realizes our junk sux :-)


I have list with less than 100 members in some newer niches and I have not tried to sell to them yet . I have give them a lot of stuff others would sell.

The longest I have waited to get a follow up has probably never been over a couple of days .

I always get someone to proofread my emails before sending them out just in case i made some grammatical error somewhere.

Their technique could definitely be improved but I give them credit for stepping out.

English is obviously not their first language and they probably knew they'd screw something up but they put it out anyway.

I took French for a number of years and I'm sure if I had to write an auto responder sequence in french it wouldn't be much better than that but it would start me on the road to improvement.

I dont somehow see anything wrong with this type of autopresponder. It is just a type of 'blatant selling' but still if people are after that kind of product they wouldnt mind, because the producet sells because of in-contained value, not because of attractive advertising.

Well i have removed the persons name because i didnt think it was the place to publish it but i will say it was an asian name. Having said that ive been on asian lists in the past and the english has been great and my webdesigner is brazilian and his english is amazing.

im not complaining about the email just how long it has taken them to send it - i joined the list nearly a year ago and this is the first message they have sent to me.

i totally agree i am learning portuguese at the moment and can write is rather well. However my speaking of it is awful so i wouldnt do a video in portuguese as they would certainly laugh at me.

it totally depends what niche i am in - i always send out the first three a day apart and then after that it varies.

For example my make money online niche goes out every four days and the food niche is every 8 days. Both work really well and i have always found that you need to build up a relationship with them asap so would never even dream of leaving it a month.

yes i sure did - after i had started this thread and copied the message over. It just makes you wonder who is filling their head with the story that you have to wait so many months or until you have so many subscribers before you mail your list!

because i use the followup message feature on aweber and build up messages i often have 10 in place before i even create a webform as i love to be ready for my launch. I will then add to them as i go.

When i started my very first list though via ebay i contacted them within 30 days and then emailed them on a regular basis and if memory is accurate that was about 150 subscribers at the time.

The importance of email copy cannot be understated. I see so many marketers focus on their sales letter copy with extreme ferocity, then throw their emails and autorersponders out there with little to no thought.
