That's a very big question that you ask. For me the answer is in the responses to these questions.

What is your product, what does it do, and what problems does it solve?

Who are your customers and what are their greatest fears and frustrations?

Where do your customers go to talk about these problems? forums? leading sites?

Is there a freebie you can give them to give some results and whet their appetitte for your product?

Why should they buy from you? What proof, testimonials and case studies can you give?

What killer offer can you make to make them buy from you? What would they find so hard to refuse that they try it?

Which of the following promotional tools will appeal to your customers - press releases, articles, videos, blogs, surveys?

That should give you a start to work from.

I hope that helps,
Tony

Hi Cindi

A quick way is to get other people to promote it for you. Have you tried asking people with lists in your niche to send it to their list? This can be good.

Barry

You're not giving me much to work with but let me see what I can do!

Essentially what you need is TARGETED traffic so you're not wasting your time and money investing in resources that give you too broad traffic that won't convert well. One of the best ways, if not THE best method of getting extremely affordable and highly targeted traffic is using article marketing and blogs.

Check out my WF blog in my signature, where I give easy to follow, step-by-step methods of using article marketing and blogging to get the highly targeted traffic that you're looking for.

Spend some money on adwords and see how your landing page converts, then run an affiliate program or find jv partners = most efficient way to market your product and make a truckload full of greens!

Conversions Good .......> Affiliate program..>offer at least 50%
Conversion Good..........> find Jvs and offer them a nice commission structure, offer 60%-100%

Sorry, but you are asking the wrong question...

Don't think like a marketer, think like a customer

Why would anyone buy it?

And why should I buy it?

How desperate am I to buy it?

If I can save my money and spend it on gas this month I'll do it... so you better have a great product that people are desperate to buy, such as "Tomorrow you will be evicted unless you know this" or "tomorrow you can die from being overweight, unless you know this secret about losing weight fast"...

And you should ask around 100+ people in a survey or find if people are already buying that type of stuff BEFORE creating it...

There are so any "products" out there, so as a customer I usually do not want to see another one, unless it really helps me...

So when you find that, you are soon becoming a pretty wealthy person

/Chris

This is the first stage of any product production, the vendor must do their research and needs to know for sure that the market exists and that they have money to spend on a product that they just don't need, but must have.

Hopefully op has done that and now just wants to know what is the best way to market his product, running an affiliate program is one of the smoothest methods that keeps making both the affiliates happy and the vendor happy , this all depends on how well the product/landing page converts, if it converts well then lots of affiliates well appreciate that and do their best to promote .

I assume you mean a new product that has a market. If it is competitive with existing products that sell well, the quickest way to test it is with PPC using similar keywords as the competition.
