Looking 4 Wordpress Directory Site Plugin

I have a lot of offline business owners as clients. Mainly, I do SEO for them. After doing this for a while, I've found out how incredibly easy it is to rank #1 for local search terms.

So I'm thinking I could make some nice recurring income from a local directory site. But instead of making a city directory, I was thinking of a directory site for each industry. So I'd have a directory of restaurants, a separate directory site and URL for dentists, a separate directory/URL for plumbers, etc.

Does anybody have a good idea of how to set this up? I was thinking a Wordpress site would be cool. Are there any good plug-ins out there (free or paid) that you know of that might work well for this? I haven't been able to find anything really great in my search.

I found this plugin a while back and have not had the chance to use it yet. It may be what you are looking for.

Not sure about what plugin to use, but I agree that you should use Wordpress for your directory.

On second thought, am not so sure about the plugin I mentioned in my previous post. I just read the support forum on it and it seems a lot of people are having problems with it.

I would also like to know of a good directory plugin if anyone else knows of one.
