So last night I saw a thread on using eBay classifieds to generate affiliate sales.

My question is how viable is this for generating sales. I remember trying this before, maybe last year, but probably back to 2007. I had some sales but it never seemed like a great way to promote an affiliate product.

I looked today at the eBay classified section and some of the affiliate products, mainly from Clickbank, have a lot of page views. But, this does not mean any sales are being make.

Anybody have much success with this lately?

Thank you,
Chuck

I don't know from persoanl experince. But from what I have read the classifieds are for 30 dys and they are priced fairely. So for ithink It might be 30 bucks you can advertise for 30 days. I think it's well worth the investment.

I'm not sure about the other sites but on ebay UK classified ads are free, I posted one last week as I noticed ebay seemed to place them right at the top of the search results...

My add stayed at number 2 in the search standings for 2 days and received a lot of hits, the following day though ebay changed there search algorithm and the classified ads seemed to drop in the search standings.

I think ebay must have clocked onto sellers listing products as free classified ads, avoiding seller fees and getting to the top of the search results in the process.

    Cheers,
    Danny.
