Hey thanks for asking; I've been wondering the same thing for some time. It seems that the hidden, or may not so hidden, assumption behind a lot of advice on WF is that we will be promoting how-to-make-money-on-the-Internet products and services. All of the "build a list with a squeeze page" examples are of offering a free Internet-marketing product to get members, but how does that work if your site is about ice cream makers?

A lot of advice on here doesn't work well outside of make-money or self-improvement niches, so I'm especially interested to hear how people build success with other products.
