The ABCs of: List Building

Hey Warriors,

So I was thinking that a bit of creativity wouldn't hurt anyone. I want to make an ABCs list of: List Building Thread.

I will keep up this thread so hopefully people can select new stuff. I'm going to start it off.

One word/phrase that starts with the corresponding letter and hopefully we can come up with some cool stuff...

Hey Paul,

Yea I'm sure any of us good fill it out...I got it started and wanted to give other people a shot. Kind of in the spirit of the "All In One" threads. I love those things

Just to get people to participate and CREATE (rare that people actually create something...good habit I think)

Here's mine:

D=Deliverability (ensure your emails get sent to the right inbox, not the bulk one)

P=Personalization (creating a bonding & trust)

V= Value (overdeliver value = more sales)

S=Subject line (good subject line = high open rate)

or

S=Survey (know what your list wants, and giving it to them)

Wouldn't M for marketing make more sense - as thats what were all doing.

list building does not just stop "there"
it has to be continuous and extra effort

Time for me to clutch at straws..

U = Upsell

Offer a more expensive product to people who have bought your 'low barrier to entry product'.

Z = Zebras

Like to find safe watering holes to drink in (probably), that they'll return to again and again (possibly). You could say that they trust the watering hole (at a stretch) therefore build trust. And get rid of any crocodiles, they're not cool.

N = Numbers. Know Them.

Know the lifetime cash value of each subscriber and conversions on backend offers. Then you can spend more to get a subscriber than your competitors, if the cost per subscriber is less than their lifetime value.
