So I installed wordpress on a new domain. Under a "blog" subdirectory, so I go to /blog/wp-admin/ but it just shows a picture of my home page (which has no links). Shouldn't the admin page be like a wordpress admin login page? |

It sounds like you did everything right. Can you elaborate on "a picture of my home page"? What exactly do you see? |

Do you have cPanel with your hosting? If so, you can just go to file manager, navigate to the themes folder and upload it.

I used fantastico to install wordpress, it was easy. But I'm not sure how to customize the template. Am I supposed to upload the folder with the template in it? Or a single file? |

You need to unzip the downloaded template. When you unzip, it will be a folder. Move that folder inside the 'themes' folder. It should look like this... public_html -blog --wp-content ---themes ----template folder You can learn about FTP on youtube. |

Do you want to customize it or do you want to go online and download a completely new one? If you want to download a new one just Google "free wordpress themes" and pick the one you like. then download a FTP client. I use FireFTP, but another one I heard was good is called Smart FTP. Then enter all the information in your FTP client. You will find the information in your Cpanel. After that connect to your server and FTP the theme folder that you downloaded (the them folder should have a name) to the folder wp-content/themes. When that is done go to your admin area and click on design. You should see your theme that you want in the available themes section. Just click it and activate it. Hope this helps, Max |

If I hear you correctly, you need to: Go to /wp-login.php and see what happens! Jamie
