Default Is PayDotCom safe?

I was thinking about becoming an affiliate through PayDotCom, but, they want my social. Just seeing if they are reputable.

They're reputable, but if you promote something and don't get paid, you never will. Paydotcom vendors have to send out payments, which leads to a lot of scamming.

Andrew Maule is right, Paydot.com is safe to give personal info to but when it comes to being a affiliate I think they should have a little more control over the vendors. They seem to leave everything up to the vendors to make sure you get paid, unlike Clickbank. You can make money with PDC you just have to be more careful.

Paydotcom seems like a dead network to me.

Most of the vendor site rarely have a visitor at all.

The reason CB has more control is because they collect the money and pay both the vendors and affiliates. PDC does not do that. Vendors collect all money so there is no way for PDC to do anything (except close accounts in the case of scammers, etc.).

Just to clarify...

Thanks,
Mike

I have close to 100 bucks in their system that are pretty old. All this is from a vendor of AdSpyPro. I know there are several vendors promoting that product, but I chose the wrong one.

But I'll let that slip. Will probably never use PDC again though. Never use them with promotions you pay for or work hard on.

PDC is just fine. I've promoted items and been paid. It's not about PDC but more about the product creators.

With ANY program you promote, you should always know the product, and research who is behind it as best you can. This is true with clickbank as well. Don't assume that just because a product is on these places that the product is good or reputable. I see a lot of crap on clickbank I wouldn't go near with a 10 foot pole even though others are promoting it.

In the long term you have to wonder if you will sleep at night and if it will sit right with you knowing what you are pushing on people and if it will truly help them with something.

You can always ask other affiliates if they are getting paid - there are ways to find them and address them.

Yes, Clickbank is better at the moment because they handle
the affiliate payouts on behalf of the merchants. This way it's
difficult to NOT get paid until the case with PayDotCom

Ive never had a problem with paydotcom and i work only as an affiliate marketer. Make sure the marketer has a good reputation or a decent conversion rate. I recently promoted twitter sneakiness on paydotcom and i was paid within 7 days of earning the commission which is unusual as i have to normally wait at least a month.

if you are worried use clickbank. if you need money fast though you can always strike a deal with a seller and ask if you promote their product will they pay you instantly and some will.
