Default How many more "Law of Attraction" life coaches do we really need?

Good grief!

Is it just me or does it seem like there are a gazillion "law of attraction" life coaches out there, running teleseminar after teleseminar, leading to coaching products and high-end products?

I thought this whole LOA thing had played out with "The Secret" and kind of calmed down, yet just today I saw something on Facebook about the friend of a friend having a teleseminar.

I listened to part of it just because I was curious.

Are people really hearing about LOA for the first time now? I thought it was old news.

Or are we just having a new wave of people putting a new spin on it, such as "You've tried the law of attraction, you've set your goals and stated your affirmations, you've sat back and nothing happened, and you're wondering why. We'll help you with the next step"?

I think everyone who sees the LOA stuff for the first time thinks they have discovered something new. And new people learn about it every day so others find ways to capitalize on it.

I don't need any LOA coaches - but some people seem to need several

It's been going on for over 100 years (when the original "Secret" book was published) and no doubt it will continue until the end of the world.

It's like Abba. How many kids have suddenly "discovered" them?

This goes in cycles. I'm going to have a bestseller in 2026 by rewriting the public domain version of the Secret and calling it "The Secret - Second Generation".

All you need to do is visualize, Jillian. Create a strong picture in your mind of a world with no LOA coaches, and they will all be gone.

Jillian

Not to say I'm not not-so-happy about being flooded with invitations to teleseminar after teleseminar, I have to say this... A vast majority of people in India... Even the affluent and educated ones ... Do not know about LOA, and so there is a need. Besides with almost 7 billion people on the planet, there's no denial that even a million life coaches and mentors can make a dent.

Its a profession they have carved out for themselves, and nothing wrong with that I guess.

Oh, Diana! You made me giggle!

Sorry, folks. I guess I had an online hissy fit and probably shouldn't have posted this.

Guess it's like any concept, idea, product, service -- it may be old hat to some of us, but there are always new people just discovering it.

It's kind of funny, though. If you fall into certain circles and the leader teaches one concept, it seems like others branch off and teach the same concept.

Kind of blurs the line sometimes -- are they teaching their own spin on things or are they regurgitating what the leader has taught the group?

I thought this was about Law of Attraction, not Internet Marketing?

Jillian,

There's nothing wrong with asking questions. Even if the result of a minor irritation.

For that matter why do we need so many people telling us how to get or increase traffic? Or, why so many showing us how to blog more effectively? Or write "killer" salespages?

It's not only in the online world this happens.

Most summers we go to the mountains for a week or two. If there's one thing you can find in the mountains of North Georgia, Western North Carolina and Southeastern Tennessee it's churches.

Sometimes two or three--of the same denomination--down the one small rural road.

We have lot's of people singing the same songs. I may like to hear Dolly Parton sing, "I Will Always Love You" you may prefer Whitney Houston.

It's the same song, just a different delivery.

Whether chocolate, vanilla or strawberry it's all ice cream.

Elmer
