Hey Warriors,

Is there anyone using hi5 or linkedin to get traffic? I hve been advised to use linkedin. But I really wonder, I never heard there are guys getting traffic via that, I just want to confirm this with you guys....

My husband doesn't get a lot of traffic, but he picks up enough projects from LinkedIn to make it worth having the account. It's basically set and forget unless you join groups and participate.

I have been trying to implement some techniques I have learned on using LinkedIn. I don't have much experience to give you the "secret" tips. But what I can do is, I can point you to this post written by Guy Kawasaki (you might be knowing him) on how to use LinkedIn:

My brother has done very well from linked in. He has a few niche websites for various professions and has grown one recently solely via linked in.
Lots of top level professionals on there inclyding CEO's etc.

Ive never really got into the linkedin thing but one of my friends on twitter swears by it and is constantly telling the world at his seminars that everyone should be using it.

The thing about social media is that there are that many sites available and unless you outsource it you have no chance of comitting to all of them. With this in mind find 5 that you love that bring you in the traffic and stick to it.

I personally get the most out of twitter and facebook. My husband on the other hand is in the food niche and finds that he gets amazing traffic from ehow where as when i have used it it hasnt been that great for me.

Thanks for the link. I joined LinkedIn and was wondering how to implement it to get more traffic. Currently I only network with others that I was working with while employed at a local company.

I have see a little traffic from it, but most are coming from the link in my signature from this forum and another that I visit frequently.

I havent ranked high enough in the search engines yet to get traffic fromt here. But, Im still working on it.
