I recently had some articles written, that I was planning to post on EZines & other article submission sites, But my business partner posted them on some blogs using the "free traffic system" before I had a chance to get them up on article sites.

It's been about a week, is it too late to submit them to article directories? I don't want to get hit with duplicate content.

Did he mass submit them to various blogs? Or did he post it to his own blog only?
Ezine does check for duplicate content. If the article hasn't been indexed by Google or any of the other search engines yet, then you can give it a try. If it's already indexed, you'll have to contact ezinearticles about it. They will still accept it if you can prove you are the owner of the article.

You could re-write it to make it unique before submitting it to Ezinearticles.

Well if you submit a unique article to them then obviously it's fine.

That's good to know, because I can provide proof. Thanks everyone for your advice.
